💙 URGENT NEED! We’re putting together something special for caregivers. Will you help us finish?

On October 23–24, R4 Retreat Center has the opportunity to bless caregivers attending the Texas Baptists Special Friends Retreat! 💚

Many of these families haven’t met R4 yet, and we want their first introduction to our ministry to be filled with love, encouragement, and a reminder that they belong.

We had a great time representing R4 Retreat Center at Boo Bash and Disability Weekend hosted by The Cross Church!

From the fun costumes and activities at Boo Bash to the opportunity to connect with others who share a heart for disability ministry, we’re grateful to be part of a community that values inclusion and belonging.

A BIG thank you to The Cross Church for welcoming R4 and for creating opportunities that bring families and communities together!

💙 Caregiver, are you running on empty?

We know that caring for someone you love can be incredibly rewarding. But we also know there are days when you’re exhausted, overwhelmed, and wondering how much more you can give.

And sometimes, what you need most is someone who truly understands.

That’s why we wanted to share this opportunity from The Arc of DFW Area!

Their upcoming virtual caregiver support session, “When You’re Running on Empty,” is led by professional counselors who are also caregivers themselves.

We are so excited to launch our Finding Your Way Caregiver Support Series this Tuesday, October 13!!

Led by two licensed professional counselors with many years of lived experience as caregivers to their adult sons with autism, the series is designed to support and connect caregivers and to provide ideas and tools to assist them in this sometimes challenging journey.

💚 TO THE CAREGIVER WHO ALWAYS PUTS EVERYONE ELSE FIRST… THIS ONE IS FOR YOU. 💙

You make sure everyone else is okay. You keep track of appointments, medications, schedules, therapies, and a hundred little things nobody else sees.

But here's something we want you to remember on World Mental Health Day:

❤️ Your mental health matters, too.

You are allowed to be tired.
You are allowed to ask for help.
You are allowed to have hard days.
You are allowed to rest without feeling guilty.

And you don't have to have it all together to be an amazing caregiver.

At R4 Retreat Center, we believe that caring for the caregiver is just as important as caring for the ones they love. That's why we create spaces where families can rest, connect, find encouragement, and simply breathe.

Because caregivers need laughter too. Actually… we might need it more than most.💚
