Project Still I Rise

Project Still I Rise Community-based, grassroots NPO focusing on academic achievement, mentoring, and character development in underserved communities in Dallas.

Project Still I Rise is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2002 to provide high quality, high impact programming to youth of Southern Dallas attending public schools. Many of the children served by the agency have had a history of problems in school such as academic failure, disruptive behavior, strained relations with peers, difficulty in dealing with adult authority figures, and

poor attendance. Without early intervention and support, these children are at high risk of school dropout, juvenile delinquency, and criminal behavior. Using science-based curriculums, collaborative relationships and partners in the community, Project Still I Rise has been able to provide significant programs that make a difference in the lives of young people. Project Still I Rise embraces the core values of:
•Collaboration - we will work together with the community at large, forming partnerships that support our mission.
•Compassion - we will provide service in a spirit of empathy, love, and concern.
•Servant leadership - we will create a service led environment.
•Stewardship – we will manage resources effectively and responsibly.

PSIR recently kicked off summer with a powerful financial education event in partnership with Charles Schwab, Bank, and the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program.

Participants received practical guidance on investing and budgeting, heard expert insights on wealth‑building, and had the opportunity to open a Charles Schwab Starter Kit brokerage account.

Thank you to our partners and everyone who joined us. Stay tuned for more programs that empower the next generation of leaders.

The big day is finally here! 🎓

We are proud to officially announce the PSIR Urban Scholar Class of 2026. This year is particularly significant as it marks a decade for our Urban Scholars program. Through this program we have remained commited to empowering students during their transition from high school to higher education and the professional workforce.

Please join us in celebrating the achievements of these students and the continued impact of the program on their academic and career journeys.

Since 2002, Project Still I Rise has maintained a steadfast commitment to empowering future generations by providing essential opportunities and resources for youth to shape their own success. This enduring legacy is made possible by those who support our mission.

We express our sincere gratitude to our Board of Directors, donors, volunteers, participants, and community members. Your commitment sustains the impact of our work. PSIR looks forward to many more years of youth empowerment, community transformation, and collective energy.
