Don't Believe The Hype - Celebrity Bowlathon Cheryl Smith's Don't Believe he Hype Celebrity Bowl-a-thon is the major fundraiser for the foundation.

Don't Believe the Hype Foundation is an organization established to provide leadership and professional training, scholarships and educational and life skills opportunities for low-to-moderate income youth/students interested in pursuing careers in media. The Don't Believe the Hype Foundation was established by a veteran journalist Cheryl Smith as a non profit organization to fund and operate prog

rams and promote activity for youth, with a special emphasis on scholarships, life skills education and college preparation. Over the years this charitable event has brought in hundreds of thousand of dollars which have been used to fund scholarships, provide internships and sponsor journalism workshops. The celebrity bowl-a-thon is a fun event that engages the entire family.
