Yesterday the Hampton Illinois Library hosted a "Touch a Truck" event for children. Despite intermittent rain and sprinkles, we had 350 children and parents attend the event. Here are some photos from that event. The Hampton Illinois Library Friends provided bottled water for this event.

The Hampton Illinois Library Friends is one of 30 Library Friends Groups participating in Library Giving Week from April 6th thru April 13th. After you decide on your donation, at the bottom of the page, North Texas Giving Day asks for a donation as well. You don't have to donate any amount if you choose not to. You can continue on with just your donation to your favorite library. Here is a link to the official page:

Here is a link to Library Giving Week. This portal is now active and will close at 11:59 p.m. on April 14th. This is an opportunity to financially support libraries as municipal budgets continue to tighten. 30 Library Friends groups across North Texas are participating this year including the following groups in Dallas:
Friends of the Dallas Public Library
Hampton Illinois Library Friends
Oak Lawn Library Friends Inc.
