This essay hits all the way home β€οΈβπ©Ή Written by 13-year-old Maggie for Teen Vogue, she shares what it's been like to grow up with a parent behind bars who she can't touch or hug ββ a trauma many of our own GEMs grow up experiencing. There are parties that benefit financially from keeping children and their parents separated β a travesty β so Maggie and others joined the campaign in suing their county to restore family visits and prevent companies from making money off family separation. We love to see young girls stepping into their power to fight against and repair unjust and broken systems π
