Why do we judge others? Is it a method of getting to know someone else, a way of making ourselves feel better, of over-simplifying a person or situation so that we can understand it better, or a way of deflecting a person or situation that affects us negatively? We know that if you take anyone, even ourselves, there is probably enough evidence in our lives to write a pretty damning case against us if you stack up enough faults, but remember! It doesn't stop there, does it? There is ALWAYS another side, and hopefully it is where everything meets in the middle that we can find the truth. Judgement stops things in their tracks. It doesn't allow for growth, for change or for improvement. Plus, just like giving has a benefit to the individual and the recipient, conversely, what damage does judgement do? So instead of being married to all those statements we might make in our heads about something or someone, what about asking more questions instead? We vote for HOPE for everyone and everything!
