Some of you heard during out meeting that the new Waco chapter would be taking over the Hill Co. rest stops, but we've heard, not yet! We still need help covering a few work days until they do.
Please join me, Cindy, in volunteering for a few work days. Maybe we can head to West after for some kolaches!
🦋Join us Saturday June 20th at the Monarch Waystation gardens at the Roadside Safety Rest areas on I-35 south of Hillsboro. Follow the brown TxDOT signage to the NPSOT gardens to w**d and maintain native plants.
🔖We will get started at 9:00 am on the North Bound side. When coming from DFW exit at the Abbott exit, go under the overpass and get back onto I-35. You must be on the highway to exit to the Roadside Safety rest area.
☀️Bring hat, sunscreen, w**ding tool, gloves, and a small bucket to use for trash and w**ds. The visitor center has water, restrooms, vending machines, and AC.
🌻After working at the north bound side you are invited to the south bound side to maintain the plants there. Traveling north, take the Lake Aquilla exit, go under the overpass and get back onto I35. Must be on the highway to exit to the Roadside Safety rest area.
Volunteers are also needed July 18th starting at 9:00 am. Thank you.
