Caps off to our incredible pre-K graduates! 🎓

This week, ChildCareGroup celebrated our Transition Ceremonies as our pre-K students took an exciting next step toward kindergarten. We are so proud of all they have learned, the friendships they’ve built, and the confidence they’ve gained along the way.

A Head Start alum, accomplished attorney, and passionate advocate for equity and opportunity, Lacy brings both lived experience and visionary leadership to advancing access to high-quality child care and early education across North Texas.

Since stepping into the role of Board Chair, Lacy has helped galvanize support around ChildCareGroup’s strategic vision, championing solutions that empower working families and create brighter futures for children. Her leadership, authenticity, and commitment to service continue to strengthen ChildCareGroup’s mission of building a stronger two-generation system that supports children, parents, and early childhood educators across our community.

A new report found Texas meets just 2 of 10 national quality benchmarks for pre-K, highlighting major gaps in teacher training, classroom standards, and equitable access across the state.

We believe Texas children deserve access to high-quality pre-k no matter their ZIP code. Through ChildCareGroup’s partnership with Dallas ISD, families can choose high-quality pre-K options that combine certified teachers, small class sizes, and ongoing professional development, designed to prepare children for lifelong success.

And the results speak for themselves: children in ChildCareGroup pre-K programs outperform demographically similar peers in key early literacy skills tied to long-term academic achievement.

As Texas leaders consider the future of early childhood education, we must build on proven models that expand both access and quality for every child.

Big thanks to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, a proud supporter of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ Doorways to Health program, for yesterday’s special donation drive benefiting families at our CCG MLK Center!

BCBSTX employees donated essential items for mothers and babies, including diapers, wipes, baby washcloths, and inspirational journals for caregivers. Special delivery and appearance from “Blue Bear,” who helped spread smiles and joy to the children at the center. 💙🧸

We’re grateful for this partnership with United Way and BCBSTX and for their continued commitment to supporting families in our community!

Yesterday morning was full of smiles, music, and community!

We always look forward to this time of year when our community partner, KPMG Dallas, chooses ChildCareGroup as one of the organizations they support during their Corporate Day of Service. Our children at the West Dallas center enjoyed a fun-filled morning with bubbles, outdoor play, and a special visit from the Kona Ice truck!

We were also thrilled to welcome a very special guest from Backyard Music Classes, who brought the joy of music therapy to our children through singing, dancing, and interactive play. The laughter and excitement shared throughout the morning made for a meaningful experience for our children, families, and staff.

Thank you, KPMG Dallas, for the time, care, and energy you continue to pour into our community. And a huge thank you to Erin and Backyard Music for sharing your joy, music, and heart with our children and families.
