🇺🇸✨🦬Honoring Legacy and Leadership🦬✨🇺🇸

Yesterday, members of Bravo Zulu Homefront Alliance and the Dallas County Buffalo Soldiers – Lancaster Chapter were honored to participate as guests at the City of Fort Worth’s Black History Month Program held at City Hall.

It was an inspiring day celebrating African American history, heritage, and the enduring contributions of the Buffalo Soldiers. We’re proud to share this legacy and continue educating communities about the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who paved the way.

We were honored to join Kappa Alpha Phi Fraternity, Inc. at the African American Museum for their inspiring Black History Program. Sharing the legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers and connecting with young leaders dedicated to service and excellence made this event truly meaningful. A special thank you to the Meyerson Symphony Center for inviting the Dallas County Buffalo Soldiers and Bravo Zulu Homefront Alliance onstage during their powerful Martin Luther King Jr. Day Civil Rights Program. We were honored to represent the Dallas County Buffalo Soldiers (Lancaster Chapter) and Bravo Zulu Homefront Alliance at the Cowboys of Color Rodeo, celebrating the enduring legacy of its founder, the late Mr. Cleo Hearn. Today, our hearts are heavy but also full of gratitude as members of the Dallas County Buffalo Soldiers (Lancaster Chapter) and Bravo Zulu Homefront Alliance, in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife, joined the community to celebrate the life of Mr. Cleo Hearn at his Homegoing ceremony at Life Center United Methodist Church.

Mr. Hearn was far more than a legendary cowboy—he was a beacon who broke barriers in rodeo, uplifted the stories of Black cowboys, and inspired generations. As founder of Cowboys of Color and a National Rodeo Hall of Fame inductee, he championed diversity, courage, and perseverance in the Western tradition. His kindness, determination, and faith left a mark on all who were privileged to know him, and his vision will continue to inspire us as we serve our communities and uphold the legacy he forged.

Standing together at his celebration of life, we were reminded of the power of unity, service, and honoring our trailblazers. We salute you, Mr. Hearn—your legacy rides strong, and we promise to carry it forward with pride and compassion.

Rest in Power, Mr. Cleo Hearn. Thank you for sharing your journey and light with us.
