We are pleased to announce that Susan Robbins has been selected to serve as the Venturing Council Support Associate Advisor Serving Territory 3.

Susan Robbins has been involved with scouting since 2010 when her son was a Tiger. She then got involved in Venturing in 2018 when her son expressed that he wanted to get more involved in Scouting. In her tenure as a leader with the Nevada Area Council, she has achieved numerous trainings and awards. Some of the trainings are as follows: Wood Badge, Seabadge, and Powder Horn. In addition, Susan is very passionate about outdoor ethics. She has her Leave No Trace Level 2 Instructor, Tread Lightly! Master Tread Trainer, and she is a Distinguished Conservation Service Award Adviser. Susan has received the District Award of Merit and other training awards. Yet, her biggest award is when her son achieved Eagle Scout and the Venturing Summit Rank.

Susan works full time as an administrative assistant for High Desert Therapists, Inc. a physical therapy clinic in Dayton, NV. In addition to Scouting, her hobbies include ice skating, crochet, needle work (yes that includes sewing on patches!), surfing the web and going to concerts. Currently she is getting ready to staff the Conservation Trail at the National Jamboree and be on the International Service Team for the World Jamboree in Poland in 2027.

Susan wants to see as many young adults join Venturing and learn about leadership, teamwork, and friendship. She saw her son blossom under the Venturing program and how much confidence in life it gave him. As she always says, “there is more than just getting your Eagle Scout.” She is looking forward to taking the next step on her Scouting journey and helping Venturing grow in Territory 3.

We are pleased to announce that Christian Guerrero has been selected to serve as the 2026-2027 Venturing Council Support Vice President Serving Territory 3.

Christian is honored to serve in this position while continuing to serve as President of Crew 774 in the Orange County Council. An Eagle Scout and Pathfinder Rank recipient, Christian is currently working toward earning the Venturing Summit Award.

Prior to his selection, Christian served on the Council Support Territory 3 Venturing Communications & Social Media Task Force (2025–2026), the Scouts BSA National Youth Council (2023–2024), and as a Troop Guide on staff for the Orange County Council Inaugural Fall 2024 National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) Course. He also served as Crew Leader for a 2024 Philmont trek and Co-Leader for a 2025 Northern Tier expedition. Christian will soon attend the 2026 National Jamboree both as a participant and as a Scout Ambassador for the Office of Development’s Legacy in Motion experience.

Christian completed a four-year Engineering and Robotics pathway while earning the California Golden State Seal Merit Diploma, the California State Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish, recognition as a California Scholarship Federation (CSF) Life Member (Sealbearer), and the Scouting America Dr. Bernard Harris and Thomas Alva Edison Supernova Awards (2022).

This fall, he will begin pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on aerospace. Along his engineering education, Christian is a Scouting America Certified Angling Instructor and is preparing to become a STEM Merit Badge Counselor, combining his passion for the outdoors, engineering, and servant leadership to continue mentoring Scouts and Venturers.

We are pleased to announce that Charlotte Kim has been selected to serve as the 2026-2027 Venturing Council Support President Serving Territory 3. In this role, she will lead the Venturing Officers’ Association (VOA) Serving Territory 3.

Prior to her selection, Charlotte worked on the joint Pacific Skyline and Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council VOA as the Vice President of Program. Charlotte has been involved in Scouting since she joined in 2021 and is currently a Life Scout working towards the Eagle Scout rank. Charlotte has enjoyed serving the Ohlone Lodge, Order of the Arrow as the 2026 Vice Chief of Inductions. She also serves on the Communications Committee for OA Section G17S, Gateway Region.

Some of her favorite moments in Scouting has been a 10 day trip to Iceland and her crew's annual Klondike Derby. Outside of Scouting, Charlotte is part of her school's color guard and is the president of Korean Culture Club. Her favorite citrus fruit is a kumquat because of their bold and bright flavor!

Our VOA Serving Territory 3 was represented and attended the Scouting America National Annual Meeting (NAM) on May 12-15, 2026! During this year’s NAM, National Venturing Awards & Recognition Lead Patrick Jaime (also our Council Support Advisor) presented the 2026 National Venturing Leadership Award at the Older Youth Programs National Reception on Wednesday, May 13, to six of the nine recipients who attended in person. Among those six recipients was Elizabeth Morgan, NVOA Associate Advisor for Territory Support; hailing from CST 3. Dinh Tran (not in attendance) was also recognized as a National VLA recipient from CST 3. Towards the end of the reception, the newly sworn NVOA President-Elect Shreemann Patel introduced the rest of the NVOA’s Vice Presidents. That was when our Council Support President Omar Jimenez was announced as the 2026-27 NVOA Vice President of Administration. In addition to these recognitions, Omar served as one of the few Territory Venturing officers that were selected to participate in the National Venturing officer cohort. This cohort represented & promoted the Venturing program to various national-level professionals/volunteers, served alongside the youth color guard during the NAM Opening Session, and staffed the Venturing booth at the NAM Exhibitor Hall. Congratulations to Omar on his selection as the 2026-27 NVOA VP of Administration and to both Elizabeth Morgan and Dinh Tran for receiving the 2026 National Venturing Leadership Award!

VOA Serving Territory 3 executive team in-person meet up at Santa Cruz, CA on April 19, 2026! Our youth officers (who are also the 2026 CST 3 VLA recipients) were presented their Territory VLA medals then enjoyed lunch just outside the beach boardwalk.
