As students head back to school, they are also spending more time online. Open conversations about social media, gaming platforms, and online relationships can help protect young people from exploitation. Encourage your children to think critically about who they interact with online and to come to a trusted adult if something feels wrong. Creating safer spaces online starts with awareness.

Last week, NFNL recognized World Day Against Trafficking in Persons with a proud moment of accomplishment for one of our program graduates. Ms. Toni was invited to the American Hotel & Lodging Association - AHLA No Room for Trafficking Summit in Washington, D.C., to share her experience as a graduate of NFNL, and of the Marriott Hotel’s Futures in Training (FIT) curriculum during her time with NFNL.

Our CEO, Bianca Davis, joined to network, and to cheer her on. Speaking to a group of hotel executives and staff from around the country, Ms. Toni shared, “I am somebody, and I can be great!”

At NFNL, we know that prostitution and s*x trafficking are inextricably linked. We commend the Dallas Police Department for leading Operation Safe Streets during the World Cup, designed to hold perpetrators accountable and to connect victims with resources. The inclusion of four officer arrests in the report, reminds us that buyers are often everyday men from all walks of life. With vigilance, collaboration, and education, we will continue working together to rid our community of human trafficking.

A Dallas World Cup crime sweep known as Operation Safe Streets resulted in 335 prostitution and s*x trafficking arrests, including four police officer arrests.

☀️🎉 What a wonderful day at our Summer Bash! Our members enjoyed an afternoon filled with games, great food, laughter, and summer fun in the cool indoors. Thank you to Ruthie’s Fueled by Good 🧀🥪 , Kona Ice , the Young Professionals Board, Circle of Friends, the Men’s Advocacy Board, and the Courtwright Family for bringing joy and creating meaningful experiences for our teen girls, women, and their children.
