💐 This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the women who nurture, guide, protect, and love with unwavering strength. At New Friends New Life, we recognize that behind every title of “mom” is a woman with her own story, filled with courage, hopes, and dreams that deserve to be seen and honored.

Today, we celebrate every part of who she is as a woman of resilience, purpose, and worth. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and mother figures who make a lasting impact every day. 🦋

Our recent ManKINDness Breakfast brought our community together to confront the realities of human trafficking in North Texas, and the ongoing need for awareness and survivor services, especially ahead of the increase in visitors to the area this summer. Our Men’s Advocacy Board Chair, Jeoff Williams, shared a compelling call to action to the men in the room, and our esteemed panelists shared in a thoughtful discussion.

Thank you to Dallas Police Chief Daniel C. Comeaux, Minal Davis, Chief Human Rights Officer for the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee, Joe Madison, Founder & Executive Director of Demand Disruption and Wayne White, CEO of the Communities Foundation of Texas. And congratulations to our Man of the Year, Bill Wallace, for his continued leadership and advocacy on behalf of NFNL’s mission and members.

For the past two years, New Friends New Life has provided insight in support of the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee’s plan to address the increased risk of human trafficking cases this summer. The Beyond the Game event gave a glimpse into just how much effort and strategy has been put in place to help protect the human rights of some of our most vulnerable communities. NFNL CEO, Bianca Davis, shares more in this WFAA story.

Studies have shown that Texas ranks #2 in the United States for the most human trafficking activity: the DFW region is second only to Houston.
