You're Invited! Leading Through the Moment: LGBTQ+ Nonprofits, Philanthropy, and the Path Forward in Texas

As organizations across our state navigate an increasingly complex political climate, shifting funding landscapes, and growing community needs, conversations rooted in collaboration, resilience, and action are more important than ever.

We are especially honored to welcome representatives from Funders for LGBTQ Issues, Equality Texas, The Normal Anomaly Inc., and State Representative Venton Jones for what promises to be a thoughtful and meaningful dialogue.

Today, we honor and remember the brave service members, especially those who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As we gather with loved ones this Memorial Day, we pause in gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and community. ❤️🤍💙

On this International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), we recognize that LGBTQ+ people belong at the heart of democracy where every voice matters, every life is valued, and every community deserves dignity, safety, and opportunity.

At Texas Pride Community Foundation, we know that advancing justice requires more than visibility. It requires investing in the grassroots leaders, advocates, and organizations working every day to build safer, healthier, and more equitable communities across Texas.

Through the work of our grantees and partners, we are supporting efforts that expand access to care, defend human rights, create affirming spaces, and uplift LGBTQIA+ Texans especially those too often pushed to the margins.

This year’s global IDAHOBIT theme, “At the Heart of Democracy,” reminds us that democracy is strongest when everyone can live openly, authentically, and free from discrimination.

Today and every day, we stand with LGBTQ+ communities in Texas and around the world. Together, we continue building a future rooted in equity, compassion, and collective power.

Texas Pride Community Foundation is proud to be Texas’ only LGBTQ+ community foundation and staying connected to the full spectrum of our community matters.

We know some of the most impactful work is happening at the grassroots level, led by local organizations and groups serving the communities you call home.

Help us stay connected. Complete this form to share information about LGBTQ+ organizations and groups in your area or forward it directly to the groups you know so they can complete it themselves.

This helps us:
* Keep a pulse on issues across Texas
* Build stronger, more connected networks
* Better support the work already happening on the ground

We’re especially looking to connect with groups in rural communities, border towns, and under-resourced or under-served areas.

Let’s grow this network together. 🌈

If you have any questions, please contact Robert Salcido, Jr., Chief Community Impact Officer, at [email protected].

A mother’s love is often measured in what she builds for the future. This Mother’s Day, we honor those creating brighter tomorrows through generosity, care, and community. These same values are at the heart of Texas Pride Community Foundation. Planting seeds today, stewarding resources with intention, and investing in a future where communities can thrive for generations. Lasting love creates lasting impact. 💐

Today, we celebrate biological moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, trans moms, le***an moms, foster moms, adoptive moms, drag mothers, haus mothers, and chosen mothers.

During Trans History Week, we celebrate the resilience, brilliance, and legacy of trans communities; past, present, and future. We honor the trailblazers who have shaped movements, told our stories, and demanded visibility in a world that too often tries to erase them.

We give special remembrance to Monica Roberts of Houston, Texas, an unapologetic voice, journalist, and advocate who documented trans lives with care, accuracy, and urgency. Through her groundbreaking blog TransGriot, she amplified stories that mainstream media ignored, held institutions accountable, and ensured that trans people, especially Black trans women, were seen, named, and remembered.

Her legacy reminds us that history is not just something we inherit it’s something we fight to preserve. This week and always, we honor Monica and all trans folks whose courage continues to move us forward.
