You know what is a perfect cure for a case of the Mondays.... Celebrating a MISSION MONDAY💜
When construction began in Frisco's Rail District, getting to work became much more difficult for Best Buddies Ambassador Tysen Churchman.
Blocked sidewalks, changing pathways, and limited accessibility made navigating downtown unpredictable. For Tysen, that meant facing new challenges to the independence and confidence he had built getting to work each day at Summer Moon.
But with Best Buddies, Tysen didn't have to face this challenge alone.
Alongside fellow Best Buddies Ambassadors Katie Boone and Ryan Falcon, they met directly with city leaders to share how the construction was impacting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Over the next nine months, the ambassadors worked with the City of Frisco, touring construction sites, reviewing plans, and sharing feedback to help make the Rail District more accessible for everyone.
Their voices helped shape solutions that benefit families, business owners, visitors, and residents across the community.
When there's not a seat at the table, Best Buddies empowers our participants to make one. This is how our communities become stronger, more inclusive, and more accessible for all.
Drop a 💜 below to celebrate Tysen, Katie, Ryan, and all our ambassadors who continue to create change in their communities.
