It’s a pleasure to celebrate the 18th Cutting Edge Youth Summit with Dr Candice Bledsoe and our community. It is a powerful space where young people can learn, be inspired, and see what’s possible for their futures. Watching students engage with leaders, ask questions, and build confidence reminds us why this vital work matters.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to invest in the next generation alongside such uplifting trailblazers. My absolute favorite moment is having the honor to speak to Juliet Jiménez, an SMU Graduate Student who not only brought high schoolers to attend the transformative summit, she is also bringing her cultural fluency and authenticity to closing the gap on mental health access for her hometown and beyond.

Here’s to the positive change we’ve made together—and to a future filled with even more.

The Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, celebrates everything the arrival of spring represents: fresh beginnings, renewal, and new growth. It marks a powerful energetic transition, from the subtle, intuitive yin wood Snake energy into the bold, radiant qi (life force) of the yang fire Horse.

The Horse arrives with speed, momentum, courage, and fiery passion. This gives us a beautiful opportunity to set mindful, heart-led intentions for the Year of the Yang Fire Horse.

Growing up, my mom would cook all the lucky foods for Lunar New Year. My favorite was Fa Gao, often translated as “Prosperity Cake,” and phonetically sounding like “rise to be rich.” Funny how a little flour, a little brown sugar, a little hot water, and a little baking powder can carry so much meaning and hope.

The qi recipe of this Fire Horse year is strong and dynamic. Let’s choose to guide this energy with the ingredients of courage, strength, and wisdom — moving forward with clarity and purpose rather than being carried by the flames.

May this year bring you much peace, joy, good health, and true prosperity. Happy Lunar New Year, Everyone.

With a heavy heart, I share this tribute to my father, who passed away from Parkinson’s dementia. Known for his integrity and perseverance, his legacy lives on in quiet, impactful, lasting ways. Fred was an exceptional father, and I remain deeply grateful to be his child.

Dad was a mechanical engineer by training, later becoming a restauranteur — roles that reflected his resourcefulness, precision, and resolute work ethic. He was the only one among his siblings who moved our family to Taipei, then Texas, believing that better education would open wider futures for his six daughters. He worked tirelessly for us, teaching through example rather than words: saving rubber bands from produce, repurposing everything he could, and proudly paying off the mortgage in just seven years through patience and discipline. Even bread ties held meaning in his hands, reused in his garden to help beans climb and grow. His care was practical, steady, and rooted in love. Now, with tear filled eyes, even the smallest things carry him with me.

My sisters traveled from Taiwan, and together we laid his ashes to rest beside my mother. As we grieve this profound loss, we are also filled with gratitude — for his sacrifices, his lessons, and the life he gave us. Thank you all for your understanding, your support, and for holding us in your thoughts during this time.

Grateful to be accepted into the Clinton School of Public Service Graduate Program at The University of Arkansas!

Humbled to receive the generous scholarship to attend this distinguished institution. Thank you , for investing in the growth of my leadership journey.

It means a lot to share this honor with you, especially on President Clinton’s birthday today, as I firmly believe in the mission of this program - “The Clinton School’s Master of Public Service degree is grounded in an unshakeable belief: our common humanity is a powerful force for transformative, sustainable change”.

CSPS gives students the knowledge and experience to further their careers in the areas of nonprofit, governmental, volunteer, or private sector service. While learning valuable lessons in the classroom, Clinton School students also complete “hands-on” public service projects in the field, ranging from local communities to international projects on all of the world’s six inhabited continents.

A two-year graduate program with a “real world” curriculum, the Clinton School is located on the grounds of the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and Park in Little Rock, Ark. The school embodies former President Clinton’s vision of building leadership in civic engagement and enhancing people’s capacity to work across boundaries.

I look forward to discovering potential and deepening knowledge in Public Service at the Clinton School. Thanks to everyone who offered your tremendous support!

Break Bread, Break Borders (B4), a social enterprise catering company dedicated to building a workforce development culinary training program through storytelling of food and culture, is grateful to share its acquisition by a nonprofit serving families of domestic violence survivors. The company has been rebranded as food4good dot org and it is committed to advancing the mission of B4 by leveraging their expert knowledge and strategic insights.

Going forward, this channel plans to continue to use our superpowers for good, for innovative impact driven projects, and amplifying purpose driven solutions for lasting social impact in our communities.

Congratulations to the B4 team. This acquisition truly shows the importance of food as a human rights initiative, especially in the world today, and it highlights the commitment of so many to invest in the future of kindness, compassion, generosity, and belonging.

Thank you ! It’s an honor to attend the CGI Clinton Global Initiative 2024 Annual Meeting as a Presidential Leadership Scholar.

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) community reconvened September in New York City this year. Timed to coincide with the U.N. General Assembly, CGI brings together business, government, and civil society leaders to drive progress on climate resilience, inclusive economic growth and recovery, health equity, the full participation of women and girls, and humanitarian response efforts to crises around the globe.

We heard from President Clinton, Secretary Clinton, Dr. Chelsea Clinton, President Biden, First Lady Jill Biden, Prince Harry, Bill Gates, Jane Goodall, José Andrés, Matt Damon, WHO Secretary General Ghebreyesus, Dr. Muhammad Yunus Honorable Chief Advisor of Bangladesh, Shonda Rhimes, Katie Couric, and many other incredible leaders, all doers making impact on the world’s most pressing challenges together.

In the spirit of President Clinton’s resilient hopeful outlook of eternal optimism - “Addition and Multiplication are Better than Subtraction and Division”. Let’s be inspired to focus on what’s working, commit to action, and keep going.

World Class Speakers played a small role in collectively raising funds for their youth education programs (while having a little fun and shine, too) on one of the most iconic locations in the world.
