Today a couple of our hens headed out to a wonderful Memory Care Community to meet with residents, and of course get lots of love. 🫶🏻

Last month, one of our original Therapy Hens ‘Croissant’ suffered a raccoon attack and lost a leg. We were in shock and scared we would lose her, but it was very clear she wanted to be here. Her life has been devoted to service and we owed it to her to do whatever we could to help her.

She had a month of healing and some light physical therapy before she could return to the coop with her flock. When she came outside for the first time she came to life and started vocalizing and hopping rapidly to her friends. It’s been incredible to watch her journey and the resilience she’s shown. We are excited to have her out on therapy visits again when she’s ready. 🫶🏻

Chicken Bingo was a hit today! Donut, Croissant and Pancake enjoyed some time indoors hanging out with residents and handing out chicken prizes to winners. We can’t wait to have more fun this Fall as our Hen Therapy visits start back up!

Toblerone entertains residents in Memory Care. 💜

June is officially designated as Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month and we are thrilled to be able to bring joy to residents impacted by this disease.

🐓🍸We had such a fun time yesterday with the residents and staff at Orchard Pointe at Creek Valley. The girls came to visit during happy hour and were serenaded by a very talented singer as a bonus. Chicken Happy Hour is our newest therapy visit format and we are thrilled to get more of these visits on the books, we loved seeing the smiles on so many resident’s faces!

Summer is quickly approaching , which means we have supplies to get to keep the flocks safe and healthy. Fans, new bedding for coop refreshes, supplements and more are all needed.
