In 2 days I will be 4 years old! I can remember as if it were yesterday that I was there with all of you and you prayed for me and cheered me on! It was a short, but crazy ride and in just 15 days I saw how much I was loved and cared for. I had my ups and I had my downs. My Mom was there by my side everyday...my Dad tried to keep life together for all of us and he did his very best. My Mom and Dad created Winston's Warriors in honor of me to help other families like ours and I want to get a head start on my birthday fundraiser this year. I didn't ask for anything before now because I know that everyone has had their struggles. Some more than others, but let's set a record this year! All of the money goes towards building and delivering Winston's Warriors care boxes to babies all over the metroplex and Winston's Warriors is a 501(c) non-profit charity! It is tax deductible!

Anyways, thank you all for everything that you have done. From loving and praying for me to supporting and loving my Mom and Dad.

Happy Birthday Winston James!

I woke up this morning and you are the first thought in mind. I can't believe that at 12:01pm today you are 3 years old. At times I am thankful that the time has seemed to fly by, just so we can get further away from the day we lost you, but it really doesn't make a day like today and a lot of others any easier. Today seems to really be hitting me hard. I am normally void of emotion, meaning I hide it well. Not Today! I think about you running into our bedroom and waking your mom and I (she would be mad, she loves her sleep!), ready to celebrate your birthday! Your big sister just a couple of doors away from your room. D'jango, Sasha and Ranger jumping in circles sharing in your excitement! I know you aren't here in your Earthly body, but we see you everyday. The butterfly that passes us on a walk and seems to follow us, sometimes even lead us. The butterfly that visits mom in her garden. The Red Cardinal that shows up everywhere. The horse, Sir Winston, that wins an impossible race while wearing a red sash with your number 7 on it at the Belmont Stakes. And even the Wavey Winstons that pop up here and there to say hi to us all.

Today my son, we will celebrate you! I know that I will see a lot of tears today but I guarantee that I will see smiles as well. We all miss you and we love you very much. Thank you for the blessing that you are! We will see you soon.
