🎥💻 Dallas ISD students got a firsthand look at the future during Microsoft Student Day with the Next Step Initiative!

Thanks to Microsoft and incredible community partners, students explored AI, cybersecurity, innovation, wellness, and personal branding while connecting directly with professionals working in technology and STEM careers.

Experiences like this help students dream bigger, build confidence, and imagine new possibilities for their futures. 🌟

The Dallas Education Foundation is proud to celebrate three outstanding Dallas ISD students who received $2,500 scholarships through the generous support of Alliance Geotechnical Group, Inc. (AGG):

✨ Sanders Williams — Wilmer-Hutchins HS
✨ Valeria Santos — Hillcrest High School Dallas ISD
✨ Jimmy Sanchez — W. W. Samuell High School

These scholarships will help support their journeys toward careers in the construction industry — creating pathways into high-demand, high-skill, and high-wage careers.

Christine Bickers of Dallas ISD's Jack Lowe Sr. Elementary was surprised with a $1,000 WhatATeacher classroom grant from Whataburger in partnership with the Dallas Education Foundation.

Dallas ISD, the Moody Foundation, and the Dallas Education Foundation celebrated the launch of the district’s second Career Exploration Mobile Lab at Comstock Middle School — bringing hands-on career exploration opportunities directly to students across Dallas ISD.

This innovative mobile lab is helping students discover future career pathways, develop new interests, and dream bigger about what’s possible for their futures.

We had the incredible honor of celebrating three outstanding young women as the newest scholarship recipients 💫

👏 Congratulations to Emily Muñoz and Hannah Castillo of Dallas ISD's Judge Barefoot Sanders Law Magnet and Candela Zepeda of Skyline High School! Your dedication, leadership, and passion for the legal field inspire us all—and we can’t wait to see the impact you’ll make.

Through this scholarship, each recipient will receive support over four years as they pursue their college journey—empowering the next generation of women in law ⚖️
