Alliance/AFT Your Voice for Change. The Alliance/AFT works for all Dallas ISD non-administrative staff.

Alliance/AFT is the consultation organization chair for all non-administrative Dallas ISD employees. Employees democratically elected Alliance/AFT to this position over 10 years ago. Since that time, significant improvements have been negotiated for Dallas ISD teachers and school employees. Examples of negotiated improvements:

- Substitute pay for teacher assistants when called upon to substitute

in classrooms.

- Significant increases in salary for all employees

- Over-time pay for support employees in the after school programs

- The pay date on the 15th of the month was not moved to the 30th of the month

- The current elected Consultation process was not changed to a consultation council
