Join us for an empowering DANCE FLASHMOB as part of Eve Ensler's global initiative One Billion Rising (onebillionrising.org). Every February, we rise — in hundreds of countries across the world — to show our local communities and the world what one bil
lion looks like and shine a light on the rampant impunity and injustice that survivors most often face. We rise through dance to express joy and community and and celebrate the fact that we have not been defeated by this violence. We rise to show we are determined to create a new kind of consciousness — one where violence will be resisted until it is unthinkable. On Valentine's Day, Dallas is RISING IN LOVE to shift consciousness and SHAKE UP THE STATUS QUO. There are currently 200+ countries worldwide and one billion women, men and children rising globally to end abuse and oppression women and girls. We are Rising for Revolution in 2015! Please Follow our page and join us THIS YEAR! Here’s how you and all of the women, men, children and families you serve can move this movement forward ending abuse and oppression of women and girls:
· Spread the word about One Billion Rising via your email list, social media, word of mouth.
· Spread the word and attend the Dallas Rising in Love event in Dallas, TX on 2/14/15 via the same methods. The official DALLAS RISING IN LOVE! FLASHMOB happens on 2/14. NOTE: WEAR BLACK, RED AND/OR PINK to all Rising events!
