We'll be at WinterFest tomorrow! 🧣⛄️❄️

Be sure to bundle up so you can help us create a mosaic artwork —made almost entirely from collected litter! We are so excited to transform something that has been introduced to our environment, into something beautiful. By removing this local litter and transforming it into art, we are keeping our waterways clean and healthy. Thank you to the American Water Charitable Foundation for funding this initiative. Pennsylvania American Water

Once you've helped out with the mosaic, make sure to check out our wildflower planting station! This will help you get ready for the spring bloom. 🌼🌻🌷

‼Attention all teachers of K-6th grade students‼
Our Litter Hawk Education awards program is a fun and simple way to engage your students and help them learn how litter and trash hurt our environment!
Read what teachers said about it:
“We were fascinated by the litter facts on your website and incorporated this lesson into another unit on persuasive writing!”- Christine Schrack and "I used this project to teach some tools in Google Slides. It was fun to learn what the kids knew about our environment, Pennsylvania, and littering. I hope I was able to teach them some things beyond our computer class."- Victoria Grenier.

The deadline is January 31st, read more on how your class or organization can participate: https://www.keeppabeautiful.org/grants-awards/awards/litter-hawk/

We’re excited to announce that the Litter Hawk Youth Award Program is back—and we’d love your help spreading the word! This year’s theme is Celebrate America250 – Keep It Beautiful, inviting Pennsylvania students in grades K–6 to share their creativity and inspire pride in our communities as we approach America’s 250th anniversary.

Whether through art, writing, or video, these young leaders show us how powerful their voices can be. As an added bonus, winners will be announced in April 2026 in coordination with an awards ceremony at the PA State Capitol Building! All winners and their families, guardians and teachers are welcome to attend. Special guests will include representatives from the Department of Environmental Protection and America250PA.

The program deadline is January 31, 2026. Contest details and application can be found here: https://www.keeppabeautiful.org/grants-awards/awards/litter-hawk/
