Nothing better than a Saturday morning or Tuesday night of Archery. It is a family event and there are some determined folks on that field. The adults are doing a great job of not only shooting but helping as well. A lot of growth with our young people over two years.

We are going over the story of Esau/Jacob-how God cleans up messes. They are listening well and I look forward to sharing with them the redeeming force of meeting God and forgiveness.

Families/Fun/Relaxed Time/A story of Grace-much more than archery.

Nice night of archer/bb's; as it was last year the family piece of this two time a week event is shaping up to nicely.

Our returnees are really picking up where they left off while the newcomers are catching on quickly. BB's has been a nice edition

A month left then we will close our time together with a nice night of food, fellowship, and family.

Archery is off to a good start and our friends who have been with us before are really hitting the target. Roger is a gift for us as he guides us and shares his knowledge. No pictures of adults but they have picked right up where we left off last year.

Just a nice time.

Tomorrow night (Tuesday) is our last day for sign up. We start at 6:30 for ages 6 years old to 8th grade. Cost is twenty dollars and all are welcome. Adults your participation and help is encouraged. Mostly on Tuesday and Saturdays for the rest of our time together.

We are taking a look at two very different people, though they are twins: Jacob and Esau....see you there.

Any questions be sure and let me know.

As the fall continues, well it is supposed to be fall time. The Lawson Road Runners will be in Mesquite on the 26th for the Service Above Self 5K.
If you need any information let me know. We would love to have you join us.

* Tonight we will continue to sign up for archery/bb's. We moved the starting time to 6:30 because it got a little dark on us. The ages are from 6 years old to 8th grade. Cost is 20 dollars for a lot of activity. The schedule is fluid but mostly Tuesday/Thursday and Saturdays.

One more announcement this week to come as activity sparks up.

We have been waiting and waiting for the weather to help us out, but we can wait no longer-it is the time to get back at it!

Archery/BB's will start sign up tomorrow night at 6:45. The cost is 20 dollars for a shirt, awards, and activities.

Adults you are encouraged to participate and last year we had a lot of good family time, we look forward to more of that again this year. Most of the time will be spent on Tuesday/Thursday's but we will not rule out a Saturday event.

This year, bb's and gun safety will be included as part of the program.

If you have any questions let me know! Look forward to seeing you all, if you didn't try it last year come give it a shot. (get it)
(Hopefully somewhere out there we can wear our hoodies!)

Our Hands, His Heart is a great deal more than soccer and backpacks. We love to pour our hearts into the families we come in contact with. When you do that sometimes your heart gets broken.

I am saddened to let you know that Raul Dominquez (pictured below on the left) passed away this afternoon. He and his grandchildren have been a part of our ministry, especially soccer for many years.

He always had a good spirit and even this spring he was upbeat in our conversations following a recent transplant. Unfortunately, the summer was not good to him, and he passed away after a long illness.

We ask that you pray for Rosa and the entire family as they walk through their grief and adjust to life without a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He will be missed. Psalms 34:18, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."

Love Glory Kickball and we took a chance and had it in the heat of the summer. Turns out it wasn't so bad after all and helped give us a great July, between camps, back to school, Mid-day and more.

Looking forward to the fall....information to come.

(This may be the best sports picture we have taken in 20 years)

It was a wonderful day at Love of Lawson. Our largest one day turn out. Hundreds passed through our doors and received backpack, school supplies, fruit, toiletry items, shoes, lightly used clothes, stickers, tags, and a church gift.

An amazing day and I want to thank everyone who came and waited patiently. The spirit of our friends was a gift and we appreciate everyone who at times had to wait in the heat.

Also a big thanks to our volunteers and donors who gave and worked sacrificially to allow us to love our neighbors. This event doesn't just happen.

We are already looking at processes to minister more effectively next year.

27 years of Love of Lawson and the day never disappoints!

We look forward to taking some days off for rest then jumping back into fall activities!
