As the month of August comes to a close, the members of the Lone Star Chapter of The Society, Incorporated, Supporting the Arts, are proud to say that we have had a busy month!
This month, we enjoyed our western themed annual retreat appropriately titled “Boots, Blessings, and Bonding!” On Saturday, Aug 9th we made cowgirl/trucker hats at Rancher Hat Bar followed by a big western dinner at Y.O. Steakhouse.
Sunday, Aug. 10th, we put our boots on the ground and dug into business by having an artful expression activity and planning our next program year. Following a successful retreat, we did a mini photoshoot and broke bread at Winner’s Smokehouse.

We rounded up the gang again a couple weeks later to celebrate Chapter Vice President, Laura Bruton, as she was awarded the ARTS COMMUNITY ENRICHMENT “SUPPORT” AWARD 2025 by the The High Art Foundation during the Henosis “Unity in the Arts” production at Moody Performance Hall.

The following day, August 25th, the Lone Star Chapter celebrated our 6th chapter anniversary.

We absolutely love it here!
Supporting the Arts is what we do. Six years down and a lifetime to go!

Last Sunday, the Lone Star chapter, The Society, Incorporated, Supporting the Arts, was blessed with the opportunity to see one of our featured artists perform before a packed house at The Balcony Club in Dallas. Saxophonist, Ben Jammin is a graduating senior and performs at events city wide. To see more of his work, please scan the QR code in the pics.

OOPS - We did it again! The award winning Lone Star Chapter of the Society, Incorporated, Supporting the Arts, was proud to convene is Chicago, Illinois this past weekend at our 20th National Conference where we celebrated our 3rd consecutive year of have a national finalist and scholarship winner. Congratulations to Anu Akingbade for placing 1st in the Literary Arts competition. We enjoyed the sisterhood, fellowship and fun. Thank you Chicago Chapter for the Arts for hosting an amazing conference.
