When I started Full Clip Magazine in 2019, it was the result of finally stopping the hesitation and answering my calling as a writer. I recently sat down with Bold Journey Magazine Bold Journey to talk about my leap of faith, key traits leaders should have, and how to know you belong at the table.

This journey is all about knowing your “why” and being intentional towards your purpose. I hope this feature inspires someone out there to stop ignoring their calling and just build.

They want LeBron to lose while also using his Finals record against him. LeBron hate, and the cognitive dissonance associated with it, has to be an undiagnosed mental illness at this point.

In other news, he’s linking up with Jaylen Brown, who’s been on media’s neck about its unethical nature. This is much bigger than basketball right now. We’re looking at two people with intellect and influence to change aspects that undermine the game we love.

The opposition? Our president just suggested LeBron may be racist. Stephen A has pushed back on Jaylen Brown addressing the media’s toxic culture. I don’t have to be a fan to support those two. They stand for something meaningful that affects everyone following in their footsteps 🏀.

Don’t Take the Bait: Learn to Think for Yourself Part 2

We all are subject to doomscrolling. In the process, we can easily be conditioned by subconscious variables at play. In a social media era fueled by unethical agendas, it’s best to apply critical thinking with what comes across our timeline.

Ask yourself,
“What’s the angle here?”
“What are they getting from this?”
“How does this benefit me or my community?”
“What’s a better discussion that we can have about this topic?”

Just taking a brief moment to pause and consider what you’re consuming can influence future decisions and in turn change the course of our society. Don’t put your mental health in the hands of those with personal agendas. Learn to think for yourself. 💡

Warning ⛔️ EYE OPENING CONTENT‼️📰

Don’t Believe the Hype: Learn to Think for Yourself

Some of the realest people I know don’t have social media or are rarely on, and with good reason. It’s full of fluff. For those of us that still see fit to use social media, our quality of life is best served by paying attention to what these platforms are doing. Would you knowingly let someone play in your face? Then don’t let media outlets do it either! What’s inside the article isn’t consistent with the headline, but they know it’ll get you going. All it’s doing is causing division and confusion.

The ethics of journalism has been going out the window. It’s the way of the world, right? We can still do something about it. One of the first things taught in college is how to use critical thinking. Question the motives of the source and check the credibility of the source. Everything doesn’t have to be objective. All the same, before having an objective reaction, be sure to verify what you’re being fed with credible sources. Peer-reviewed sources, some .org’s, .edu are examples of places to find simple facts about a topic. What’s happening outside of that is opinions that play on the emotions of the listeners. Instead of letting misleading platforms divide us, check the source. A lot of the sources nowadays are “trust me bro” or “Fake News .com told us so”. Not just that, question why platforms are pushing unhealthy agendas and sugarcoating what you already know to be true. Mark that platform as such and find quality resources. There are platforms that are putting in the work to bring better content. Just be sure to utilize them.

🤝🏾 Community Over Competition hits different when you're dealing with two different industry approaches coming together. Think of how many other areas cultures are divided where intentions are the same, but being said in two different ways.. Martin and Malcolm, Democrats and Republicans, leaving the inner city versus staying to give back, Temptations or Five Heartbeats .. the list goes on.

Solution: When the bigger picture becomes priority, a lot of the differences are seen as frivolous in comparison.

In November 2024, Māori Party lawmakers, led by Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke, performed a haka in New Zealand Parliament to protest the “Treaty Principles Bill,” which aimed to redefine the 1840 Treaty of Waitangi. The viral protest, including ripping up the bill, briefly suspended the session and echoed nationwide demonstrations (Hīkoi mō te Tiriti). The bill passed its first reading but faced strong opposition and was expected to be blocked later, showing the power of collective action to defend historic agreements. This moment resonates globally, reflecting the struggles of Indigenous peoples and marginalized communities, including Black Americans and Native Americans, fighting for justice and treaty rights.
