Our favorite season of the year: The State Fair of Texas® is here! 🎡✨

On September 18, the Dr. Emmett J. Conrad Leadership Program provided scholars with an enriching experience at Fair Park, featuring an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Cotton Bowl and the opportunity to witness the Big Tex showcase.

Our scholars explored the Cotton Bowl suites, learned more about the organizations and career opportunities connected to Fair Park, and participated in a meaningful closeout presentation with State Fair of Texas® and Cotton Bowl employers.

We are grateful to the State Fair of Texas® and Fair Park Dallas for welcoming our scholars and creating an experience centered around exposure, connection, and professional development.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible!

Happy Leadership Monday! 🙏🏽

Trusting God’s timing means trusting the process. Before David became king, he had to follow, serve, learn, and develop. His preparation came before his position.

Sometimes the season before the blessing is where God is developing your character, patience, discipline, and leadership. Don’t rush what God is using to prepare you for where you’re going.

The question is: How do you handle the process before the blessing?

Happy Leadership Monday 💪🏼

Leadership is connectivity. It’s the ability to bring people together, build genuine relationships, and create spaces where everyone feels seen and heard.

It’s not always serious conversations and big speeches. Sometimes it looks like laughter, shared moments, and just being real with your people. The strongest leaders know how to balance purpose with personality.

Because when people feel connected to you, they connect to the vision too.

Leadership can be fun. Leadership can be light. But most importantly, leadership should be felt !
