People Of The Eastern Door

People Of The Eastern Door Our pride and joy is our Eastern Woodland Intertribal Powwow, held annually the first weekend in June, at the Luzerne County Fairgrounds in Dallas, PA.

The People of the Eastern Door is a non-profit organization 501c3 dedicated to bringing authentic Native American presentations and gatherings/powwows to our area for the purpose of cultural education. We are Indigenous folks dedicated to bringing authentic Native American presentations and gatherings/powwows to our area for the purpose of cultural education, while helping our local communities by

creating fund raising opportunities for us to contribute to local charities and other non-profit organizations. Our committee consists of full and partial blood Natives representing several nations throughout the country and includes cultural educators, performance groups, veterans/first responders, and people whom have organized and held past successful events and gatherings/powwows. This event is open to the public and features cultural dancing and singing, education opportunities, and social activities for all.

We have secured a better location on the ground this time around that should make everyone happy.

This Year we are Honored to have picked Patriots Cove as our Non-Profit to Donate to. https://www.facebook.com/PatriotsCove. Patriots Cove is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in northeastern Pennsylvania, founded by a military veteran to empower other injured, ill veterans, first responders, and their caregivers to heal and adapt to life after service. We are hoping to get as many Veterans as we can to partisipate in our Grand Entry and the Retiring of the Flags.

A FEW THINGS - We are still accepting Vendor Applications, Please PM us.

There is Camping for Vendors and Dancers.

Food WILL be provided on Saturday Evening and Sunday Morning Only for Dancers and Vendors.
