Bible verses for 5-29-2026
“Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness (that which is not upright or in right standing with God). For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” (Psalm 37:1-2)
My brothers and sisters, verse 1 of this Psalm is very important and crucial for us to take seriously. Fellow servants of God and believers in Christ, for the security of our physical and spiritual beings, we must stop being worried and weary when evildoers flourish. Psalm 73:2-3 says, “I almost slipped and lost my balance. I almost fell into sin. I saw that wicked people were successful, and I became jealous of those proud people. ”Beloved in the Lord, let us focus on our actions when we see the prosperity of the evildoers ones. Verse 2 of today’s Bible verse says the evildoers “shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” Their lights (lives) will be put off quickly according to Proverbs 24:19-20: “Don’t let those who are evil upset you, and don’t be jealous of them. They have no hope. Their light will burn out. Invest your energy in doing what is right and good everywhere, anyway and at anytime with the fear of God. Focusing on the prosperity of evildoers and others will distract us and displace our peace of mind. Let us avoid comparing ourselves with progressing evildoers, it only leads to frustration and bitterness that will harm and damage our physical and spiritual wellness, making us to see God as an unjust God. The Scripture says , “Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long.”(Proverbs 23:17)
I decree and declare that you and I will;
⁃ not fret ourselves because of evildoers at anytime;
⁃ not be envious of the unrighteous and evil people for any reason;
⁃ not be distracted, losing focus over our lives because of the prosperity of the evildoers at anytime;
⁃ not lose our balance in Christ because of the evildoers’ success;
⁃ not be jealous and be covetous of the prosperity of the evildoers and fall into sin;
⁃ not harm/damage ourselves physically and spiritually by being envious of the success of others; and
⁃ continue to reverence and be in worshipful fear of the Lord all our days; in Jesus name, amen 🙏🏾
