$49,555 raised at the BACH Backyard Fundraiser & Silent Auction ! If you would like to help us get to our $50,000 goal follow the link below.
Sorry but I didn’t get many pictures last night!
Once again, I can’t say thank you enough to everyone who was a part of this event! Each of you individually gave so much! I would like to tag everyone of YOU but there are way too many of you to thank and I wouldn’t want to miss anyone! THANK YOU!
Thanks John McFarland for preparing all the food! I had nothing but amazing comments about the food! And Tim Reed thanks for grilling the tortilla and vegetables.
Thanks Maxine Bax, Nicki Bax and Shawn O'Brien for traveling from out of town to help and support. Thanks Allyson G for running a flawless silent auction and Justin Michael Ovalle for all your help the last three days and running one of the best raffles. He came up with one of the best techniques I have ever seen for a raffle! And thanks Joe G. Pacetti for all your contributions! Simply an Incredibly giving person. And thank you Eric Tschetter for all your time, energy and dedication to this event! ❤️
Thanks Reverend Neil G. Thomas for the blessing of the food! Thank you Scot MacRae for talking about the food save program! Last year the program saved 1.3 million pounds of food that helped feed food deprived people in three counties! This year they have already saved over 1 million pounds of food!
They rescue food 7 days a week from 4 Costcos, 3 Trader Joe’s, and 1 Sam’s Club.
The GYFTS Food Rescue started 6 yrs ago as an offshoot of Taste of Hope, when we started getting more food than TOH could use, a friend developed the EETZRescue app, allowing us to use it to distribute to 37 feeding partners across 3 counties.
The rescue food program is one reason we have been able to triple our outreach meals while not adding to our expenses.
I feel so blessed to be a small part of a much bigger group!
A friend once said that you can’t always change the world but you can change the community you live in and the ripple effect can be profound!
