There are some stories that refuse to die.
Some stories that stay in your chest,
beating louder than disappointment,
louder than betrayal,
louder than the seasons that tried to silence them.

This is one of those stories.

Three years ago, I began a project that changed me.
A project born from our community,
our brilliance,
our struggle,
and the quiet, sacred resilience that lives in every one of us.

Even when the path fractured,
even when the room shifted,
even when the world around me said “let it go,”
the story kept speaking

and it never stopped.

Today, I’m answering it.

I am officially reviving the documentary as a multi-episode docuseries,
built from the original vision,
expanded by time,
and sharpened by truth.

This isn’t a return.
This is an evolution.

Season One begins now;
and for the first time,
I’m inviting the world to take this walk with me.

Because the stories we carry
aren’t just ours.
They belong to the community that raised us
and the future that’s waiting for us.

If you feel the weight of this moment;
if you believe in stories that heal,
restore,
illuminate,
and refuse to die;
then join us.

The campaign is live.
The vision is alive.
And the next chapter begins today.

Link in bio.
Walk with us.
Witness what’s coming.

MOVIENIGHTBAE EP.2 Richie Santos Episode Richie Santos never stood a chance
and yet, he became the soul of the entire story.
In Welcome to Derry, his death wasn’t just tragedy it was prophecy, psychology, and ancestral commentary wrapped into one moment the world wasn’t ready to decode.
Richie wasn’t written as a character.
He was written as a mirror:
of what racism steals,
of what community restores,
and of how unity resurrects what hate tries to bury.
Every symbol planted across the season, the foreshadowing glances, the color story, the blocking, the cultural cues, the moments of silence all pointed to a single truth:
Richie carried the burden of generations
and still managed to love out loud.
His final moments weren’t defeat.
They were revelation a reminder that every oppressed community has a Richie, and every Richie becomes a legend the moment the story is finally told correctly.
This is the breakdown the writers never expected anyone to catch.
Welcome to the deeper layer.
Welcome to the language underneath the camera.
Episode 2.
Let’s talk about how stories save us or doom us one frame at a time.

MOVIENIGHTBAE EPISODE 1-SINNERS: THE HOODDOO WOMAN AND THE FATE OF BLACK LOVE
Black love has always survived in the shadows.
But in Sinners, Ryan Coogler showed us the truth:
sometimes the woman who sees your death is the same one who knows how to resurrect your soul.
This isn’t just a film breakdown
it’s a reminder of the ancient language our people once spoke:
the language where prophecy and intimacy were the same breath.
Tonight’s episode digs into the hoodoo woman, the omen,
and the fate every Black man fears but secretly carries.
Not drama; destiny.
Not fiction; inheritance.
If you’ve ever felt chosen, haunted, or loved beyond logic

welcome to Movie Night Bae.
Let’s decode what the ancestors placed on screen.

Thank you to Denton Black Film Festival for believing in stories that start in the soil but rise to the stars. You are not just screening films. You are anchoring futures.
Let the world know:
We are not done. We are just beginning.

🜃 Yesterday, the impossible bowed its head.

In a room full of talent, lights, and legacy...
It wasn’t my camera.
It wasn’t my name.
It was my students, children of fire and film,
who stood on stage and made the world clap for a dream.

At the 2026 Denton Black Film Festival, our youth project, born in the heat of summer, crafted with borrowed cameras and divine grit; just won.

This wasn’t just a win.
This was proof.
Proof that when you plant seeds of excellence in young soil, it grows into cinema that shakes the room.

They shot it.
They edited it.
And they believed
because someone told them they could.

I remember the first day of camp.
One student whispered, “I dont have anything to offer the world .”
Now, that same student is holding an award in front of Emmy winners and industry giants.
Let that echo for a moment

This is what happens when Black youth are trusted with vision.
This is what happens when arts education is sacred.
This is what happens when legacy is intentional.

Do you know what that does to a young soul who’s only been taught to survive?

It breaks the curse.
It changes what they believe is possible.
It rewrites how they’ll love themselves for the rest of their life.

We didn’t just teach them how to tell a story.

We helped them remember they own

We didn’t wait to be chosen.

We built the platform.
And now the industry is watching.

We are no longer preparing for the future.
We are the future.
And yesterday was just the beginning.
Congratulations Trenton Youngblood-Harris and Mason Triche. Well Done.

There are those of you still standing—
not because life spared you,
but because something eternal in you refused to bow.
You have been misnamed.
Called "too much," "too intense," "too sensitive,"
when the truth is

you were always built for something greater than this world ever taught you to expect.
This year didn’t just try to break you—
It tried to erase the version of you
that still believed in your own worth,
your own softness,
your own right to be loved without bleeding for it first.
But you’re still here.
And that means something.
Because survival was never the end goal.
Transformation was.
So now I say this to every woman who’s been told she must shrink to be chosen—
To every man who forgot what it feels like to cry without shame—
To every soul who’s been gaslit by the world for dreaming too vividly:
Come home.
Come home to the knowing that your voice is sacred.
That your presence rewrites rooms.
That your pain was never punishment—
it was preparation for your power.
And if no one told you before the clock strikes midnight,
let me be the first:
You were never broken.
Only awakening.
And now it’s time to rise accordingly.

We are proud to announce that the film A Game Of Chess written by Award Winning Filmmaker Don Thomas II and filmed by our youth this summer have been officially selected to screen at the 2026 Denton Black Film Festival.
Let that sit for a moment.
Our students, Trentin Youngblood-Harris and Mason Triche of Cedar Hill High School are now being recognized on a national stage for their storytelling, creativity, and cultural voice.
These are young artists, writers, directors, editors
 now officially filmmakers.
But this isn’t just about a film festival.
This is about what happens when Black and brown youth are given tools, time, and trust.
They don’t just participate; they create. They challenge. They elevate. They lead.
We didn’t water down the process.
We brought real equipment, real training, real industry standards and they met the moment with power.
