A lot of people who love God still feel like something is missing. They know the right things, they do the right things, and yet their relationship with God feels more routine than real. In this video, Nathan Wagnon, co-founder of Eden Project, walks through the process Eden Project takes people through to close the gap between knowing about God and actually experiencing his love on an ongoing basis. He shares about a man who came up to him recently and said something that captures the whole journey perfectly: "I always knew that God loved me, but I think I'm actually starting to believe it." That one sentence is exactly what Eden Project exists to produce in people's lives, and in this video Nathan walks through the different ways Eden Project helps people get there.

He grew up in a Christian household that valued the Bible, theology, and ministry, went to seminary, and knew a lot about God. But somewhere along the way he started noticing a pattern: when things were going well, God felt close and pleased, and when he was struggling, God felt distant and disappointed. The cycle kept repeating until he had to ask a question he had never asked before: was the God he was experiencing actually who God is?

Applications for our upcoming Eden Lead Cohort close this Monday, June 30th.

The Eden Lead Cohort is our 10-month spiritual formation journey for Christian leaders, built around three guided retreats, a small community of fellow leaders, and monthly sessions with a trained spiritual director. The goal is simple: helping leaders slow down, reconnect with God at the level of the heart, and learn to live and lead from a place of being deeply loved rather than endlessly performing.

Have you ever felt so overwhelmed that you couldn't even name what you were feeling?

Here is a simple practice for moments like that, adapted from Jim Wilder and rooted in Exodus 3.

Start by asking God to remind you that he sees you. To be seen is to be loved. Then let him remind you that he hears you, that whatever you are carrying can be brought into the conversation. Then let him move toward you. Exodus 3 says God knows our suffering, and that word means more than knowing about it. It means he feels it.

Last, let him assure you that he is present, that he cares, and that he wants to be with you in it.

Just three or four minutes. Seen, heard, felt, and not alone.

A lot of leaders do good, hard, kingdom-focused work. But somewhere along the way, that work shifts from being done with Jesus to being done for him. The difference matters more than it seems.

We are called to be yoked with Jesus and to learn from him. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. That is not a metaphor for low effort. It is a description of what sustainable, Spirit-filled leadership actually feels like from the inside.

Every leader needs a transformational journey that keeps deepening their walk with Jesus year after year. That is exactly what the Eden Lead Cohort is built to help leaders do.
