There’s something about this time of year that makes you pause for a second.

Longer days. Fresh air. Everything starting to feel new again.

It naturally makes you think a little more about what actually matters.

And sometimes… that turns into wanting to give back.

Not in a big, overwhelming way—just in small, intentional ways. Supporting something meaningful. Being part of something that helps someone else through a really hard season.

The Jackson Scott Bates Foundation continues to support families facing childhood cancer in real, tangible ways—and that only happens because people choose to show up.

If this has been on your mind, consider this your reminder.

Make the donation.
Share the story.
Be part of it.

It all matters more than you think 💛

Most people don’t realize how much a childhood cancer diagnosis impacts an entire family.

It’s not just the medical side of things… it’s everything that comes with it. The emotional weight, the financial stress, and how quickly everyday life can shift overnight.

That’s where the Jackson Scott Bates Foundation comes in.

They show up in real, tangible ways to help carry some of that weight and remind families they’re not doing this alone. Sometimes that support looks like direct help, and sometimes it’s creating something like shirts for a specific child or family—giving people a way to rally around them and be part of their story.

If this is something that’s close to your heart, there are a lot of ways to be part of it. Donating, sharing, supporting… it all matters more than you think.

Even the smallest support can go a long way 💛

Sometimes people want to help… they just don’t know how.

When a family is walking through something like childhood cancer, it’s not about having the perfect words. It’s about showing up in ways that actually make life a little easier during a really hard time.

That can look like supporting a foundation that steps in to help carry some of that weight. It can look like sharing a family’s story so more people understand what they’re facing. And sometimes, it even looks like something as simple as wearing a shirt that was created to support a specific child or family—because those efforts add up in a very real way.

The Jackson Scott Bates Foundation exists to support families in the middle of it all… in ways that matter.

If you’ve ever thought about helping but weren’t sure where to start, this is a good place 💛

Good Friday always feels a little quieter.

A little more reflective. A little more meaningful.

And with Easter right around the corner, it’s a reminder of hope… even in the middle of really hard things.

For Jackson, Easter had its own special tradition 💛
Glow-in-the-dark eggs hidden around the house, lights off, laughter echoing through the rooms.

It didn’t look like everyone else’s Easter—but that’s what made it so memorable.

That’s the thing about moments like these…
they don’t have to be big or perfect—they just have to be felt.

As you head into this weekend, hold your people a little closer.
Make the memories. Start the traditions.

And if you’re looking for a meaningful way to give during this season of hope, the Jackson Scott Bates Foundation continues to support families walking through childhood cancer 💛

Most of us joke about needing a cape to get through busy weeks, long meetings, or everyday life. Some children wear one for reasons far more serious.

For them, the cape is not pretend. It is a symbol of courage during treatment days that require more strength than most of us will ever understand.

If you would like to be part of that strength, you can donate a cape, sponsor a child warrior, or Brand Your Fight. Small actions truly matter.

The first day of spring is a reminder that seasons change, even when the hard ones feel long. For children in treatment, life does not suddenly become easier, but hope still matters.

A cape is a small but powerful reminder that they are not alone. If spring feels like a fresh start for you, it may also be the right time to donate a cape, sponsor a child warrior, or Brand Your Fight in honor of someone important to you.

If you’d like more information, comment CAPE below and we’ll send it to you.

When we talk about strength, we often picture adults doing big things. The truth is, some of the strongest people we know are children walking into treatment with a cape on their shoulders.

This month, if you want to honor strength in someone you love, consider sponsoring a child warrior, donating a cape, or Branding Your Fight in their name. It is a simple way to stand beside a child facing something incredibly hard.

Some days in the hospital feel long and heavy for a child in treatment. A cape does not change the diagnosis, but it changes how a child feels walking into that room. It reminds them they are strong, brave, and seen.

If you have been looking for a meaningful way to give this month, you can donate a cape, sponsor a child warrior, or Brand Your Fight in honor of someone you love. Every single one makes a difference.

February is almost over, but for families walking through illness, nothing about this is seasonal.

The hard days don’t follow awareness calendars. The waiting doesn’t pause. The need for support doesn’t disappear.

That’s why we’re still here. And why this work continues.

Grief doesn’t only show up after death.

It can begin in a diagnosis. In the loss of "normal". In the moment you realize life won’t look the way you thought it would.

It doesn’t follow a schedule. It doesn’t look the same from one family to the next. It changes shape over time.

However it shows up for you — in illness, in loss, in the quiet in-between — it’s valid. And it doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

Today is Palentine’s Day — a day to celebrate love in all its forms.

The kind of love that shows up during hard seasons. Love that waits with you, helps in small ways, and stays when things are heavy.

We’re grateful for those who showed up for us — and for every family walking this road.

If someone showed up for you or your family during illness, we’d love to honor them here.
