🎨 IT’S BACK! 🎨
We are so excited to announce our 6th Annual Dallas Teen Artist Market on Saturday, November 21 at Klyde Warren Park! Starting today, we’re looking to feature up to 25 artists based ages 14-18 who are based in DFW, working in any medium. All artists accepted into the market get free art supplies and support leading up to the big day.

The application is easy - just share 3-5 images of the art you make and tell us a little bit about yourself. Applications are due by October 3. A month goes by fast, so if you want to participate, apply ASAP!

Y’all, we are so excited to announce a new partnership with Halperin Park! Join us once a month for the Young Creators Collective, a free, drop-in art lab for artists ages 8-19 (and their families). Each month features a new theme and set of projects. Join us to explore some new materials and ideas, and take something home that’s completely handmade.

Hey y’all! We’re opening back up next week and can’t wait to start welcoming artists back into the studio.

We have a packed season of classes and workshops, as well as new community partnerships! We need some help getting ready by organizing and decorating the studio, as well as preparing materials for outreach events.

If you want to get a hands-on preview to what we’ll be up to and want to learn more about how to give involved throughout the year, drop in anytime between 5:00-8:00pm Tuesday through Thursday evening. Not only would we love to see you, we’d also be super grateful for your help!

hey y’all! the summer is wrapping up. don’t be sad - come join us for one last week of open studio before y’all go back to school and we take a little break. there might even be pizza on thursday…. come early. 👀

what will we be doing on our break? our team is taking a little time to rest and do some studio beautification and reorganization projects. if you want to help with that, we’d love your company and assistance! stay tuned for more info soon.

Adults! It’s your time to squeeze in a little creativity before the summer’s over. ☀️🎨 Join us at Making Do - a creative break featuring three easy project starters, light refreshments, and no big lights. Coming up this Wednesday, July 29 from 6-9pm. $10 a person, drop in any time! See you there.

Can you believe we’re in the back half of summer? Come squeeze in a little more creativity with us at the studio this week!

On Tuesday and Thursday, we’re back open for Open Studio! A special note: we need to open at 5:30pm this Thursday instead of our usual 5pm.

We also have a registration deadline coming up for our last camp of the summer! You won’t want to miss Printmaking with Jennifer González - sign up today.

On Saturday, we’re hosting a tween workshop all about making art work piece by piece. Perfect for the avid Minecraft fan or pixel artists, we’ll have three stations open to explore Lego printmaking, peeler bead art, and paper mosaics. Register at the link in our bio!

Join work/shop art studio for a week of hands-on creativity at Printmaking Camp! Young artists will explore a variety of techniques while experimenting with texture, pattern, repetition, and color. Campers will create bold and unique works of art all week long! Printmaking Camp starts July 27 through 31, 9-12pm each day. Register by July 22 at our website: workshopdtx.com

This week at work/shop, you can see us at our studio or join us at a community pop-up! Tomorrow we’ll be making buttons of Dallas landmarks on Reunion Tower’s GeO-Deck. Activity is included with your admission! Hope to see you there.

Curious about work/shop art studio, or haven’t stopped by in a while? This Saturday, we’re open (almost) all day!

From 10:00-1:00 is Morning Makes: our free program for tweens and families. Projects rotate each month! This Saturday, we’re making color hunt collages: hunting for colors in magazines and using shape punches to create a unique work of art. Morning Makes is always free, although RSVPs are appreciated on our website.

From 2:00-5:00pm is Printmaking Playground! A new program hosted by Jennifer González , the studio will transform into a material lab with three different printmaking projects. Entry is $5 - you can register on our website today or pay at the door.

Both programs are drop-in style: arrive whenever, stay as long you like. Hope to see you there!

Big week at work/shop, including two new additions to the schedule!

1. Just for July, we’re opening up twice a week for Open Studio! Artists ages 13-19 can drop-in to make what they want, how they want. Explore a new technique with our tools, or bring your own project to work on. Always free but RSVPs appreciated on our website.
2. This Saturday, we’re having a family open house! Drop in from 10-1pm for Morning Makes, then join us again for a Printmaking Playground from 2-5. Designed for 5-12 year olds in mind, but all family members welcome.

So excited to see you more this week! Hope you can join us.
