The confident girl project is a project originating in 2021. After helping at multiple community service acts of feeding the homeless. I saw an underrepresen

ted group of people in the homeless community. Women. The homeless shelter always receives clothes and food to be donated, but what about the elephant in the room? Menstruation products that all women need every month. This problem was being overlooked and avoided. I saw that and decided to do something about it because I understand what it is like being a girl. The subject is so taboo to non-menstruaters that people are not having their needs met. Our mission is to make 100 homeless and impoverished girls comfortable and, therefore, confident. That’s how the name the confident girl project came to be.

Special thanks to the Confident Girl Ambassadors for helping us pack 300 hygiene kits for our Back To Achool distribution. Bags were delivered this week to Lancaster High School, South Oak Cliff High School, Wilmer Hutchins High School, David W. Carter High School and G. W. Carver 6th Grade Center.

On March 23rd, The Confident Girl Project had a workshop at Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Grand Prairie. The workshop was led by a healthcare professional about feminine hygiene, and how to have proper feminine hygiene. The girls were even able to make their own personal hygiene kits!
