🎾 Kiestwood neighbors, your voice matters.

The City of Dallas is considering transferring management of Kiest Tennis Center to a private operator, and the Dallas City Council is scheduled to vote on the item on June 24.

For years, the Dallas Tennis & Education Academy has provided much more than tennis. It has offered mentoring, academic support, free youth programming, and community events that serve families across South Dallas.

If you care about preserving affordable access, community-focused programming, and opportunities for local youth, please join us for this community town hall to learn more, ask questions, and hear how you can make your voice heard before the City Council vote.

Players, parents, alumni, coaches, neighbors, and supporters are all welcome.

The weekend is finally here, and we’re looking forward to seeing our neighbors at Kiestwood’s First Sunday Dinner!

Join us for Kiestwood’s First Sunday Dinner on Sunday, June 7, from 5:30–7:00 PM at Bbbop Seoul Kitchen (828 W. Davis St.).

We’re excited to welcome Monte Anderson, who will share details about the former hospital property at 2929 S. Hampton Road and discuss his development plan for the site.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about a project that will have a lasting impact on our community while enjoying dinner with neighbors and friends.

What a wonderful evening we had last weekend for Kiestwood’s May-garita! Thank you to all of our Kiestwood neighbors and friends who came out to support, connect, and celebrate with us. Events like these are such a special reminder of the amazing community we have here in Kiestwood.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to Cindy for opening her beautiful home and creating such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. We are also so grateful to El nopalito taqueria for joining us and serving delicious tacos throughout the night. The tacos were truly a hit!

These gatherings not only strengthen neighborhood friendships, but also help raise funds for future community programming and events. We appreciate everyone who helped make the night such a success.

Our next event will be our quarterly First Sunday mixer in June. Stay tuned for more details!

Join me in congratulating Megan & Dino on winning May's Yard of the Month!

Take some time in the next weeks to stroll or drive by 2505 Woodmere Dr. to take in the serene beauty Megan & Dino have cultivated.

What do you like about spending time in your garden?
- It is my happy place. I can focus completely on my task and my mind will totally relax. I'm always waiving when neighbors drive by.
Do you have any plant recommendations for our area?
- We have had success growing azaleas, oak leaf hydrangea and redbuds (like our flamethrower redbud we just put in).
Do you have any gardening tips to share?
- Our soil in this area is low in iron so we supplement with an Iron supplement annually.
What are you most proud of in your yard?
- Our japanese maple out front. It was put in as a baby and has grown so beautifully. Megan's favorites are the Crepe Myrtles that we have across our property.
What will your next project be in your yard?
- We plan to replace our fence with a new one.
