Brighter Magazine Our mission is to benefit the mental, physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of women affected by any cancer.

We accomplish our mission through our one of a kind publication and our programs that educate, encourage, equip and empower women. The moment a woman is diagnosed with cancer, the way she looks at everything in life changes. What once were simple pleasures become complicated. Whether a new personal diagnosis, amidst a series of treatments, or in remission, Brighter magazine strives to be the resource for beauty, health and relationship advice for each of these women. Our goal is to help you feel empowered, equipped and enthusiastic about your live during these critical times.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is always a busy time as a cancer support organization, and we are grateful for all the attention that this disease gets in October, because it brings us closer to a cure and to a world where women (and men) are more easily able to access the support they need when they are impacted. But we wish the enthusiasm could extend beyond the month of October. Our goal is to serve women affected by cancer when they need us, and that reality is year round. Support, awareness, and change shouldn’t be restricted to one month out of twelve. Let’s do what we can to support the community in and out of October.

Diagnosed with breast cancer at 35 years old, Cequinta made it her mission to educate others with her story. Cequinta’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 21 years ago, at the same age that Cequinta would be diagnosed as well as the same stage of cancer. Cequinta encourages others to listen to their intuition and advocate for themselves.

Oncology trained professionals from the Ricardo Fisas Foundation will lead participants through a relaxing skincare routine. Dinner will be provided.
