As I conclude my term as Chairman of TMAA, I want to express my sincere gratitude to TMAA Board, volunteers, several committee and community members who have made this journey so meaningful.

Serving this organization has been both an honor and a privilege. Together, we have advanced our mission of creating a united and self-reliant Tigrian community in DFW, by improving the organization’s finances and membership (quadrupled). None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the dedication, integrity, and compassion each of you brings to this organization.

I am especially grateful to my fellow board members for their collaboration, thoughtful leadership, and unwavering commitment to community service. Your support and counsel have been invaluable.

As I step aside, I do so with great confidence in the future of TMAA. The organization is well-positioned for continued growth and impact under the leadership of the new Board Members, and I look forward to supporting its work in new ways.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve. I remain deeply proud of what we have accomplished together and excited for what lies ahead.

TMAA Board had a meeting with the Election Committee today, July 9th, 2025. The agenda was to discuss on how to fill the Accountant vacancy following Eshetu Berhe’s resignation.

We are pleased to inform that Besrat Mezgebe has volunteered to serve as TMAA’s Accountant, in addition to her current responsibilities as TMAA’s Secretary, until the next election.

It is with greatest sympathy that we inform you that our beloved TMAA members Asfash and Deacon Shishay Amare’s mother and Tekea Beyene’s sister Alemtshay Beyene passed away this week.
May God restore her soul on the bosom of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

This is to inform you that Eshetu Berhe has decided to step down from his role in the community leadership as of June 30, 2025. TMAA Board truly appreciates Eshetu’s commitment & dedication in serving TMAA as an Accountant for more than three years! The Board will work with Eshetu & the Election Committee for a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Dear TMAA Board members,

I am writing to formally resign from my position as Accountant at Tigran Mutual Assistants Association, effective Jun 30, 2025.

After much thought and reflection, I have decided to step down from my role in the community leadership due to personal reasons.

It has been an honor to serve alongside such dedicated individuals, and I’m truly grateful for the opportunity and the support I’ve received.
