Well done DHS. I see some future Rotarians for sure.

Today our fellow student council officers Roxanna(president), Kaleb (secretary), Ryder( treasurer), and Xavier(historian), attended the Region 16 TASSP meeting to speak about the importance of TASC. These students did an outstanding job on sharing how every student council kid can make a difference. Way to represent Dalhart High School!

What a great meeting we last week Dalhart Rotary Club, we started off celebrating the student and teachers of the month.

Let’s start with DCA: Mrs. Sarah Smith who has been a teacher for 11 years pouring her heart into DCA as the 4th and 5th grade English teacher. She helps students grow academically, spiritually, and in confidence, her motto is “I’m growing Lions of God to be leaders of the Wolf Pack.”

Reni is a 4th grade student in Mrs. Smith’s class. She is kind, diligent, servant-hearted student who leads by example both in and out of the classroom.

Saint Anthony’s: Let’s start with Mrs. Dedra Hill who is one of the greatest teachers and leaders in our Dallam and Hartley Counties. Mrs. Hill taught for many years both in Dalhart and Hartley before retiring and now is part of Sainth Anthony’s Catholic School. She brings her warm personality and years of knowledge to all of her students and co-workers.

Elliot Becker is a first grader at Saint Anthony’s and his teacher Mrs. Smith spoke about his big heart and joyful personality as he goes about his work in the classroom.

DISD: Mrs. Jamie Navarrete first grade teacher at DES was nominated by multiple staff members and Principal Dr. Elain Hyer. Mrs. Navarrete is a joyful part of the DES team and pours this joy into her classroom and students.

Jocelyn Gomez is a first grader at DES and a great little leader in her classroom. She is always ready to learn and participate in all her studies.
