🐾 Miss Maple would like everyone to know that she is, in fact, a lap dog.

Yes, we understand she weighs 43 lbs.

No, she does not see the issue.

Miss Maple has the unique ability to make herself whatever size is necessary to fit exactly where she wants to be. Curled up in your lap? Absolutely. Pressed against your side? Of course. Half on the couch and half on top of you? Her specialty.

At 3 years old, Maple has left her former life behind. We suspect she spent much of it roaming on her own, but those days are long forgotten. She's traded uncertainty for soft beds, belly rubs, air conditioning, and quality time with her favorite people.

And honestly? She thinks it's a fantastic deal.

This sweet girl loves affection and isn't shy about asking for it. If you're willing to pet her, cuddle her, or let her lean against you, she'll happily clock in for a full shift of snuggling.

She also happens to be pretty talented. She can sit, shake, walk nicely on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. But if you ask Maple what she's most proud of, the answer is probably her ability to turn any human into a pillow.

We can't really blame her. After all, the comfortable things in life are where it's at. ❤️

🤎 Can You Help Us Help Boone? 🤎

A rural shelter we work with recently contacted us about an injured puppy. At just 5 weeks old and 2.6 pounds, Boone had somehow gotten hung in the fencing of his pen. When he was found, his leg was swollen and he was unable to bear weight on it.

Despite already being stretched thin, we couldn't say no.

We scrambled to find a foster willing to take on a possible medical puppy who would also require quarantine. Thankfully, after some shuffling and a lot of asking around, we found someone willing to open their home.

Because Boone is so young and tiny, we also brought along his sister, Jazz. Three siblings still remain at the shelter, and we are hoping to find a foster willing to quarantine and care for them as well.

After an exam and X-rays at our veterinarian, it was confirmed that Boone had broken his leg. The good news is that our veterinary team is hopeful that, because of his age and the type of fracture, it will heal. Boone is now seeing a specialist and has already incurred $400 in medical expenses which will continue to grow due to his bones not aligning correctly. He has further specialist visits scheduled.

🐶 Boone may only weigh 2.6 pounds, but his veterinary bills are already much bigger than he is.

From his exam and X-rays to medications, splinting, and follow-up care, the costs add up quickly. We are asking for your help to offset the expenses incurred so we can continue helping puppies like Boone when shelters call and there is nowhere else for them to go.

Every donation, no matter the amount, helps Boone heal and helps us continue saying "yes" to animals in need.

Matilda aced all her tests. 💛🐾

Dog test? ✅

Cat test? ✅

Kid test? ✅

So why is this amazing girl still waiting?

At just 10 months old and 40 lbs, Matilda is the total package. She's potty trained, dog door trained, rides great in the car, loves walks, enjoys splashing around in the water, and has never met a stranger she didn't want to be friends with.

She's sweet, smart, easygoing, and ready to fit right into family life.

Honestly, we're stumped. We keep waiting for someone to realize just how special she is.

Maybe that someone is you. ✨

Matilda deserves the best, sometimes the best comes last but we surely hope her forever comes soon.

Wilby recently spent the day floating the springs and had the BEST time. Everywhere he went, people stopped to tell us what a good boy he is—and they were absolutely right.

This 9-month-old Lab/Bulldog mix is the total package: friendly, social, adventurous, and always ready for fun. Whether he's exploring new places, making new friends, or flashing that adorable smile, Wilby brings joy wherever he goes.

At 48 lbs, he's potty trained, crate trained, great on leash, loves toys, and enjoys having dog friends to play with. Most of all, he loves being part of whatever you're doing.

Finley is such an easy boy.

Yes, he's blind. But it certainly doesn't stop him from having a good life. So why does it stop people from giving him a chance?

This 1-year-old Standard Poodle has so much going for him. He's good with dogs, good with cats, and good with kids who are sturdy on their feet (he can't see them and may accidentally bump into them while playing). He loves walks, loves water, loves being social, and loves being with his people.

The thing about Finley is that he doesn't know he's different. He wakes up every day excited to see what life has in store for him. He plays, explores, cuddles, learns, and enjoys the world with a joy that is contagious.

He has come such a long way from the wild puppy who first arrived. Structure, routine, and guidance have helped him mature into a wonderful young dog who genuinely wants to please. Once he learns his environment, he navigates it with confidence and ease.

We know his family is out there. We just don't know why they haven't found him yet.

At this point, we are also open to speaking with reputable special-needs rescues outside of our area if it means giving Finley a better opportunity to find the home he deserves.

Because he deserves a chance.

Not despite being blind.
