Lord Botetourt FFA members are volunteering at Read Mountain Fire & Rescue July 14th and the 28th 4pm-8pm for their annual ice cream social! They have delicious flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. As well as syrups like chocolate, strawberry, caramel, and even hot fudge! Toppings are free. And dog owners are welcome to bring their pooch!

This event is open every Sunday in July.

This week of July 8th-12th, Lord Botetourt had two members attend the 2019 FFA Leadership Camp.

Andrew Seibel was elected this years Camp Vice President and preceded to help run Opening Ceremony at the Banquet Thursday evening. His group A2 also gave an impactful speech Wednesday night at the camps nightly reflections program. Congrats to Andrew!

Faith Settle competed in the Opening Ceremony competition along side her teammates and won first place. She also competed in the holding breath underwater contest at the Leadership Swim Olympics and won first place for her team, A1.

On Thursday afternoon, the camp packed over 2,500 meal bags and donated extra food in bulk. Way to go, VA FFA!

"Growing Goals" led by Zachary Andrew's (Arkansas State Vice President) focused on dreams and turning them into goals and turning those into a reality!

Congrats to Tucker Grimshaw for coming in first at the 93rd VA State FFA Convention for Small Engines! The Lord Botetourt FFA Chapter also received a gold rating in Public Relations and received a Superior Chapter award. The first session was such a huge success, Claire’s moving speech about her FFA advisors brought many of our members to tears and made a lot of us laugh as well. We can’t wait for the next session to get started!

Today, on May 25th, Lord Botetourt FFA President, Faith Settle, participated in the Farmers Market located at Town Center Tap House. She sold lettuce that was grown in our very own raised beds at the school as well as lettuce, onions, and eggs from her home.
A special thanks to Botetourt County Young Farmers for helping set up this morning and providing this opportunity for Lord Botetourt and James River!

It's the Lord Botetourt FFA Annual Chicken Barbecue! We cooked and served several hundreds of chickens, baked potatoes, cole slaw, and rolls. Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us in this fundraiser.

Last night, on May 7th, was Lord Botetourt FFA’s Annual Parent-Member Banquet. Congratulations to everyone who got their degrees and special awards. Last night we brought in three Honorary FFA Members, Mr. Jeff Henderson, Ms. Heather Garnett, and Mr John Busher. Special thanks to Claire Seibel and Courtney Henderson for speaking last night. And a shoutout to FCCLA for helping us with the food
