❣️ Yvette Wentland, trustee of the Robert Y Moffat Family Charitable Trust, recently visited the North Pocono Dry Goods Pantry, to see their generous gift of $1,200 being put to immediate use to help area residents.

❤️ The North Pocono Dry Goods Pantry is very grateful to the Robert H. Spitz Foundation in conjunction with the Scranton Area Community Foundation for the awarding of a $1,500 grant in the 2025 fall cycle for the purpose of animal care for residents of the North Pocono area who partake of the services of the Dry Goods Pantry.
🐾 Funds received will be designated for pet food and veterinary assistance as appropriate.

❣ Our STORY ❣

📌 North Pocono Dry Goods Pantry has served families in the area since 2000!

💡The Pantry originated as a youth group project in St. Mark’s Episcopal church.

📍 We share a space with the Food Pantry and are located behind Tasty Swirl in Bill's ShopRite Plaza.

🤝 Families that reside in the North Pocono district may come once per month to pick up dry goods (& bring proof of address).

👥 The Dry Goods Pantry is volunteer based & are always looking for others who have the same passion.

❤ Thank you to the local community & churches for supporting us for over 25 years!

🗣 The North Pocono Dry Goods Pantry is a registered 501C3 that serves individuals and families in need in the North Pocono School District.

⏰️ Open each Thursday 11:30am-1:00pm and first Wednesday of each month 5:00pm-6:30pm.

🧼 Supported by donations from the local community and churches since 2000, this volunteer- based program provides non-food items on a weekly basis to families in need of non-perishable items:
▪︎ Toothpaste
▪︎ Toilet paper
▪︎ Shampoo
▪︎ Tissues
▪︎ Diapers
▪︎ Bath soap/body wash
▪︎ Napkins
▪︎ Paper towels
▪︎ Household cleaners
▪︎ Laundry soap
▪︎ Dish soap
▪︎ Trash bags
▪︎ Plastic wrap
▪︎ Aluminum foil
▪︎ Paper plates
▪︎ Deodorant
▪︎ Pet care

📈 The Dry Goods Pantry has seen a steady growth in participants. In 2024, 2,508 families participated in the program, a 5% increase from the previous year. Product cost has also increased approximately 20% with a projected demand for 2025 to increase an additional 15-25%.

🤝 New donors are critical to the North Pocono Dry Goods Pantry being able to serve the increased number of disadvantaged in the area. In addition to individual donations, gifts have been received from;
