Labrador Friends of the South, Inc. Labrador Friends of the South (LFS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of homeless Labrador Retrievers. Thank you.~

We are based out of ATLANTA, GA. LFS relies solely on donations, fund-raising events and adoption fees to function and continue saving and placing homeless Labradors. We do not receive any state or federal funding. LFS is an all volunteer organization of people who give their time, effort, and love for labs to protect and save them from the perils of pet over-population and irresponsible pet ownership. Our ultimate goal is to help these dogs find new, loving, forever homes.

~Please do not post dogs that need to be rescued on this page; it is just a media page for LFS and its events, adoptables, and updates on adopted dogs and is not always checked daily. If you would like to contact us, please do so with the email specified.

🐾 Holt 🐾
We’ve been fostering Holt for several days now and he’s such a love bug! He adores everyone he meets- adults, kids, other dogs. He was a bit shy when we first brought him home, but he has really come out of his shell. Holt is well behaved for the most part, but is obviously still a puppy and working on learning all his manners. He has accidentally knocked over our little one a few times, but she still loves him. We really think he’ll make a great family dog. He loves to play outside, but also enjoys curling up on the couch with us or in the dog bed just as close as he can possibly get to our other dog. Crate training at night is also off to a good start. Apply today to adopt Holt or send an email if you’re already approved!

Forever Update on Ned! 🏡🐾
Here’s a few pictures of Ned since adoption! He is doing so well and learns very quickly. He’s constantly being a younger brother and nudging Yeager to play with him. He loves the dog park, walks and when I make salmon for dinner, because he’s learned I will cook the skin for him! So far he’s a bit embarrassed to be an Alabama fan, but he still happily wears the jersey every Saturday!

Thank you for adopting!
