USA TRADE AGREEMENT: If PM Mark Carney has given the USA everything the USA wanted, why did it take more than a year and cause unnecessary consternation? By some accounts, because there will be no Canadian tariffs against the USA, its less expensive dairy products will make the continued existence of Canada's supply management and Quebec cartel irrelevant and financially uncompetitive and unviable. Although USA base-rate tariffs on Canadian goods will remain, it now appears to be the job of the government funded mainstream media to spin-doctor and sell it to the public.

According to CTV, "Transportation Minister Steven MacKinnon is announcing a $100-million rebate plan today to pay back manufacturers for half the freight costs to send eligible steel products across the country by rail or marine shipping." Mexico
Israel
Chile
Developing nations.

HAS THE CARNEY GOVERNMENT BOUGHT THE CANADIAN MAINSTREAM MEDIA? Prime Minister Mark Carney's government plans to eliminate the mandatory "Netflix tax"—under pressure from the USA which has citing it as an unfair Canadian trade practice. A previous CRTC rule required large foreign streaming platforms to pay a percentage of their Canadian revenues to Canadian media. Instead the government is replacing those streamer levies with a new, direct $600 million annual subsidy paid for by Canadian taxpayer dollars every year to government selected broadcasters. This includes a $150 million annual increase specifically for the CBC.

GOVERNMENT CORRUPTION: In a recently published report, Desjardins deputy chief economist Randall Bartlett, said the new commitments add $40 billion in extra spending over the next decade, beyond what was announced in the last fiscal update in April.
Among other things, why did the Carney government spend $135 MILLION on a program to give away free motorbikes in Ghana? Why is that necessary and after the money has left Canada can it audited to insure it is not a money laundering scheme with kick-backs to the Carney Liberals? Why is the CBC reporting that Carney has block a House of Commons review of his Gordie Howe bridge deal?
Bartlett pointed out his estimate of unaccounted spending is based on incomplete information, because the federal government has not been transparent on how it plans to pay for these measures.
