KISMET in Atlanta! 🎭
On Saturday evening, August 1st, Didem Ruhi and Talha Karcı took the stage in Alpharetta, Georgia, and captured our hearts with their incredible performance of KISMET. They took the audience on a beautiful journey, making us laugh out loud one moment and deeply moving us the next.
Staged by Tiyatro Misafir, KISMET is a two-person tragicomedy that brilliantly tells the story of two Turkish immigrants living in the U.S. The plot follows an immigrant couple who accidentally end up on stage while delivering a food order, unfolding into a hilarious and heartfelt exploration of their adventures in adapting to life in America.
We want to extend our deepest thanks to our talented artists for sharing their wonderful art with the Atlanta community. We wish them continued success on their U.S. tour as they head to the Minneapolis Fringe Festival next! 👏✨

We are so happy to share that we have officially dropped off all of your generous donations at the Principito Foundation. Every single item and bit of support you gave is now on its way to bring relief to the innocent lives affected by the earthquake in Venezuela. A huge thank you to everyone in our community who stepped up to make this happen!

Thanks to the incredible support from our community, the Turkish American Cultural Association of Georgia (TACAGA) will continue collecting donations for families affected by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.

The Turkish American Cultural Association of Georgia (TACAGA) is organizing an emergency relief campaign to support families affected by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.

We are collecting essential baby supplies including:

🇺🇸 Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads and grandpas in our community! Today, the Turkish American Cultural Association of Georgia came together to celebrate the strength, love, and guidance of our fathers.
As part of our Father’s Day tradition, we held our annual backgammon tournament! A huge congratulations to Mr. Ali Gürlek for winning the tournament and taking home the trophy this year. 🏆🎲 We also want to thank all of our participants and wish the best of luck to all the candidates for next year!

We had the absolute pleasure of sharing authentic Turkish coffee and Turkish delight with over 250+ City of Atlanta employees today.
A huge thank you to Director Paulina Guzman and the amazing team at the Mayor’s Office of International & Immigrant Affairs for putting together such a beautiful event. Huge shoutout to Tugba Fırat, owner of in Marietta, for pouring the perfect cups, alongside our dedicated TACA board members Geysu Mentes, Ahmet Görücü, and President Gökhan Yavuz!
Congratulations to all the city employees who completed their Global Ambassador certificate programs. Atlanta is diverse, connected, and officially ready for the 2026 World Cup! ⚽️🌎
