Gulf Coast Down Syndrome Society - Gcdss

Gulf Coast Down Syndrome Society - Gcdss The Gulf Coast Down Syndrome Society (GCDSS) — an affiliate of the National Down Syndrome Society — is an IRS-registered 501-(c)(3) Mississippi nonprofit.

We are a support network of families who have a loved one with Down syndrome. The GCDSS and its Board of Directors shall meet monthly for purposes of networking of families, discussion of various issues surrounding individuals with Down syndrome and to coordinate projects in relation to Down syndrome awareness. Support group meetings are usually scheduled social events hosted by members of GCDSS a

nd are typically held monthly. In addition, we host other informative programs for our members, their friends/family, and professionals with our main public awareness event being the annual Buddy Walk, a one-mile fun walk intended to complement Down Syndrome Awareness Month (October). Donations are welcomed and can be mailed to PO Box 7859 D'Iberville, MS 39540.
