July 2026 Climbing Lock-In at InSPIRE Rock - Cypress 🧗🏻‍♂️

Scouts worked on their merit badge, challenged each other to climb as high as possible and ran around playing games. Always a fun overnight with friends, seeing who can stay up the latest. We had a few that managed to make it to morning! 😴

What a great addition to the front lawn! Thank you, Cypress Methodist Church, for sharing your facilities with our troop for weekly meetings. Troop 846 and Cypress Methodist have a long history of supporting each other - Eagle projects are just one example of our continued partnership.

This project was completed as Nathan's Eagle Scout project and holds special meaning as he grew up here at Cypress, actively involved in both Cypress Youth and Troop 846, which meets at the church each Monday evening.

We are so grateful for the time, hard work, and dedication of Nathan and the entire troop. This gateway will welcome thousands of families to our Pumpkin Patch for years to come. Thank you for leaving such a meaningful legacy!

Our second Sea Base crew’s trip is in the books! What an amazing week of scuba diving! 🤩

The Scouting America Florida Sea Base SCUBA Adventure is a high-adventure aquatics program in the Florida Keys. Designed for certified divers in troops and crews, the week-long program features open water dives across the Keys' living coral barrier reef from a fleet of custom built Newton Dive Specials.

Itinerary included -

🤿 11 dives, including a night dive
🤿 Explore coral reefs, discover wrecks, underwater rock formations
🤿 Evening educational sessions to learn about marine life of the Florida Keys and local conservation efforts regarding coral restoration & marine debris.
🤿 End-of-week Luau and games

🌟Congratulations to scouts Kallen and Andrew - they received Divemaster Academy recommendations from the crew’s Divemaster, Braden.

Our Scouts also had time to stop at the History of Diving Museum to see how far we’ve come in the quest to explore the seas.

Our charter organization is celebrating America’s 250th 🇺🇸 Come out and join the fun! 🇺🇸

Make plans to stop by and see us! Free hot dogs & hamburgers while they last! Community family fun - Bouncy house, Bucking Bronco, Dunk Tank, Face Painting, etc. Soft opening at 4 pm, Dinner service at 6 pm. Fireworks around 9 pm (weather permitting).
