Abba's House A place of refuge and restoration for refugee women and their children in the presence of Jesus

Abba’s House is a place of refuge and restoration for refugee women and their children in the life-giving presence of Jesus, in which they will live for 6-8 weeks upon their initial arrival and resettlement to the U.S. Our mission is to be a safe community of healing for refugee women and their children, restoring their dignity as ones created in God’s image by caring for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. At Abba’s House we seek to provide a season of safety, healing, and stability that propels our guests forward to becoming productive members of society. We seek to meet their physical needs, model basic life skills, and make progress toward dealing with the trauma they have experienced. Most importantly, we seek for them to encounter the love of Jesus through His people and the rhythms of life at Abba’s House.

This great serve crew showed up today to help Sam as she did her Eagle Scout project here at Abba's House. It was a fun one -- a goat playground! They put in a balance beam, a tire bridge, a seesaw, and a scratching post. Lots of fun will be had by our goats in the days to come!

Help! A few weeks ago we welcomed in a family of 5 from South Africa. Last week, in separate mishaps, both the mom and the dad broke their left foot. We are trying to round up some support for them -- with meals, cleaning, and childcare.

Hello from Rose and Yajaina. Even after folks leave Abba's House, we keep in touch with them as part of the Abba's House family. We stop in to say Hi, drop off food and basic necessities as needed, and remind them always that they are loved by God. Yesterday, we dropped in on 4 different families. Life is not easy, but they are making it!

Welcome to Henco and Meghan and their boys, our newest Abba's House family from South Africa.
