Dear Andre' Families,
As my time as PTO President comes to an end, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you, parents, teachers, staff, and students, who have made this journey so meaningful and rewarding.
Serving in this role has been an incredible honor. Over the past 2 years, we’ve worked together to support our school in countless ways, from organizing events and fundraising efforts to providing resources that enrich our children’s education. Each success was made possible because of your involvement, generosity, and dedication.
I also want to thank the amazing PTO Board, who have shared their time, creativity, and passion throughout my term. Your support and collaboration made all the difference.
With this letter, I’m also announcing an important transition: after careful consideration and in alignment with the direction of our school and district, we will be officially dissolving the Andre' Elementary PTO. Moving forward, we will adopt the VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) model as our primary structure for family and community involvement.
This change reflects our school’s evolving needs and the desire for a more flexible, inclusive, and streamlined approach to volunteers. VIPS will continue to offer opportunities for parents to engage meaningfully, whether through classroom support, event coordination, or other service projects.
While this marks the end of an era, it is also the beginning of a new chapter. Together, we’ve accomplished so much. We brought back field trips, revitalized our school garden, installed new basketball goals, and provided musical instruments that help our students explore their talents. We also created joyful memories through events like our school dance, fun-filled spirit nights, and other activities that united our families and strengthened our school spirit. I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together and confident that VIPS will build upon that legacy in new and exciting ways.
To everyone who has contributed time, ideas, donations, or support, thank you! You made a difference. I encourage each of you to stay involved, whether by volunteering at events, attending meetings, or simply sharing your ideas. Our children benefit when we all engage in their school experience.
Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve. It’s been a true privilege, and I leave with many fond memories and deep appreciation.
With love and gratitude,
Tiffany Massey
