Clayton & Withers Gas Station; circa 1958-1961 - A classic gas station photographed sometime between 1958-1961 by a Cynthiana Democrat photographer.

Chick's Truck Stop is noted on the side door.

Names and confirming the location of this gas station would be most appreciated.

Adams & Moore Trucking; Circa 1957-1961 – A truck bearing the name Adams & Moore being loaded from a railroad car in Cynthiana.

Take special notice of the home on the hill.

Bus and Parking Meters, (circa 1957–1961) - A photograph along Cynthiana's Main Street near Pleasant Street. The Cynthiana Presbyterian Church is seen in the background and the Ashland gas station is visible as well. The gas station is no longer there. Today, the land that was once a gas station lot is now a church addition and lawn.

The photo was taken by a reporter or photographer from the Cynthiana Democrat somewhere between 1958-1961.

Parking meters in Cynthiana? Looking closely, you can see the Kentucky State Police trooper's vehicle in front of the bus that could be escorting? To where and when? And who are these gentlemen?

Farmer and his Cows; July 1958 - This photo was taken by a reporter or photographer from the Cynthiana Democrat in July 1958 in Harrison County, Kentucky.

Unfortunately, the date of the photo's creation is the only detail known as we scan in this negative as part of a collection of 2,500 negatives produced from 1957-1961.

Boyd's Station Project Second Look is hoping the Harrison County community can help with names and places. If you remember or know the people in the photo and can help sleuth out the details, we would really appreciate your help!
