Today, we recognize and celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and honors the resilience, strength, and contributions of Black Americans throughout our nation's history.

Juneteenth serves as a reminder of the ongoing pursuit of freedom, equality, and opportunity for all. It is a time to reflect on our shared history, celebrate progress, and recommit ourselves to building communities where every individual is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.

At Humility of Mary Housing, we believe that safe, stable housing and supportive services create pathways to opportunity and help strengthen communities. As we honor Juneteenth, we also recognize the importance of continuing to work toward a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

What a fantastic day at our 2nd Annual Topgolf Fundraiser! ⛳🎉

Last Friday, supporters, sponsors, community partners, and friends came together for an afternoon filled with golf, great food, exciting gift basket raffles, and plenty of fun—all while supporting the mission of Humility of Mary Housing.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended, sponsored, donated, volunteered, and helped make this event such a success. Because of your generosity and support, we can continue providing safe, affordable housing and supportive services to low-income seniors, families, and individuals experiencing homelessness throughout our community.

A special thank you to everyone who participated in our gift basket auction. The enthusiasm and support were incredible, and congratulations to all of the winning bidders who took home some amazing baskets while helping support our mission.

Events like this remind us that when a community comes together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Thank you for helping us turn a day of fun into a day of impact. We are already looking forward to our 3rd Annual Topgolf Fundraiser next year and hope to see you there!

Veronica, a resident at Northfield, recently rekindled a relationship with her high school sweetheart, Dallas, and we're excited to celebrate their engagement! ❤️

Their story is a beautiful reminder that sometimes life's greatest blessings find their way back to us when we least expect it. Seeing the joy, love, and support they share has been truly heartwarming, and we couldn't be happier for them as they begin this exciting new chapter together.

We are incredibly grateful to recognize Jerry Skully as a Red Sponsor of Humility of Mary Housing Foundation’s Second Annual Topgolf Fundraiser! 💙

Jerry is a dedicated Chairperson of the Humility of Mary Housing Foundation Board and has spent a lifetime serving others through leadership, compassion, and community involvement. Before entering the nonprofit sector, he felt called to a life of service and has continued that commitment throughout his career and personal life. As a former nonprofit leader, devoted caregiver to his wife during her illness, and active community advocate, Jerry has always put the needs of others before his own. Even after stepping away from board service for a time, he returned to continue supporting our mission well into his 80s.

At Humility of Mary Housing, we provide stable housing and supportive services for families, seniors, and individuals throughout Northeast Ohio. Support from community leaders like Jerry helps us continue our mission of creating opportunities, promoting independence, and building stronger communities. 🏡

Today was a truly beautiful day at Saint Patrick Manor. 💗

We celebrated Opal, who was born in 1932 and turned 94 years old today! This birthday was especially meaningful because it was only the second birthday party she has ever had.

Opal has been a resident at Saint Patrick Manor since 2002 — for 24 wonderful years — and she remains such a special part of our community.

When asked what she wanted for her birthday, she didn’t ask for gifts or decorations. Her only wish was for a white blooming tree to be planted in the front yard of St. Patrick Manor. 🌳

Thanks to the kindness of several staff members and residents, that wish is becoming a reality. The tree will be planted this Friday in her honor.

Seeing Opal’s joy today reminded us all how meaningful simple acts of love and kindness can be. Moments like this are what make our Saint Patrick Manor family so special. 💕
