Teacher Grant Applications are officially OPEN through the Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association! These grants help bring innovative classroom projects to life — especially those that spark student engagement and create meaningful learning experiences.

The earliest recorded CFHS yearbook title is The Mirror, published in 1917 at East High School on Cook & Germane Street.
In 1919, the yearbook was titled Hi-Echo.
In 1924, the yearbook was called The Re-Echo
In 1927, the yearbook was titled Hi Times.
There are currently no known yearbooks published between 1927 and 1937.
In 1937, the yearbook was renamed The Epocha.
In 1946, the publication adopted the title The Cuyahogan, the longest name in CFHS yearbook history. This title remained in continuous use for 76 years before being retired during the 2021–2022 school year.
In 2023, the yearbook began using the title The ECHO, which remains the current name. This change commemorated the 100th anniversary of Cuyahoga Falls High School.

Archival Note: Complete records of all CFHS yearbooks do not exist. As a result, some historical information may be incomplete or subject to revision. Individuals with additional documentation or historical materials are encouraged to contact the yearbook advisor.

The Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association is seeking a dedicated and dynamic individual to serve as the Executive Director. The Executive Director will work with the Board of Trustees to support the vision and mission of our organization. This individual reports directly to the Board and is
responsible for the overall operation of our non-profit organization.

The CFSFAA Executive Director is that of an independent contractor. Monthly time commitment varies but averages approximately 15-20 hours per week. Compensation is in the form of a monthly stipend. Applicants must reside in the general Cuyahoga Falls geographic area. The complete job description is attached below.

We’re thrilled to congratulate two of our alumni on their engagement—made even more special during a walk-through at our beloved high school. As the building prepares to close and a new chapter begins for our district, it’s incredibly meaningful to see lifelong memories continue to be made within its walls. Wishing DJ and Hillary a lifetime of happiness!

Sometimes the most unforgettable lessons happen after the bell rings 💛🖤

During Tuesday evening’s walk-through tour of Cuyahoga Falls High School, Room 210 stole the spotlight when DJ Nivens proposed to his girlfriend, Hillary Yanok, right where it all began!

DJ and Hillary first met in Room 210 as sophomores in American History, taught by Mr. Newlon, before graduating with the Class of 2008. As we’ve been celebrating the legacy of our school buildings, we’ve heard so many stories of Black Tigers meeting their future spouses—and this one is truly special.

💍 Congratulations, DJ and Hillary! We have just one question… will the wedding décor be black and gold?

We’re proud to join Cuyahoga Falls City Schools in celebrating Alecia Coco as a Friend of Education! 🖤💛

As outgoing President of the Board of Education, Alecia has given so much time, care, and leadership in support of our students and families. We’re grateful for the impact she’s made and wish her all the best as she wraps up her service and continues advocating for our community.

Last night, we honored an incredible advocate for our students! Congratulations to Alecia Coco, our Friend of Education recipient, recognized at the Board of Education meeting. 🖤💛

As the outgoing President of the Board of Education, Ms. Coco has dedicated countless hours, passion, and expertise to helping guide our district and ensure the best opportunities for every student. Her leadership has made a lasting impact, and we are deeply grateful for her service.

We wish her all the best as she continues to champion and advocate for families in our community!
