Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association The Foundation provides Scholarships for Graduating Seniors, Grants for Teachers, Distinguished Alumni Recognition, and Alumni Services.

The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of trustees and managed by a part time Executive Director.

Thank You, Class of 1958!

We are so excited to share a recent Class of 1958 Teacher Grant recipient and the incredible learning opportunity their generosity is making possible!

“Weaving in the Art Room” introduces students in Kindergarten through 5th grade to the art of weaving through reusable looms that can be used year after year. Students will learn age-old textile techniques while exploring creativity, craftsmanship, and the history of this art form.

Even better, this project connects directly to the Wit & Wisdom curriculum, reinforcing vocabulary such as textiles, knit, horizontal, and *vertical in a hands-on and meaningful way.

We love seeing how these grants turn generous donations into real classroom experiences that inspire students and support learning across grade levels.

A special thank you to the CFHS Class of 1958 for continuing to invest in the students and classrooms of Cuyahoga Falls City Schools. Your generosity truly makes a difference!

And a heartfelt thank you to our teacher for sharing these photos and your appreciation with us! We are so happy to see your students putting their new weaving resources to work.

Big News: CFSFAA Has a New Payment Processor!

We are excited to announce that CFSFAA has switched to Zeffy, a payment platform built specifically for nonprofits — meaning more of every membership and donation goes directly toward our mission of supporting Cuyahoga Falls students and teachers.

With this change, you can now:
✦ sign up for auto-renewal membership, managed easily just by logging in;
✦ make donations and purchases more securely and seamlessly;
✦ support scholarships and teacher grants knowing more of your contribution goes where it counts.

You may notice an optional tip for Zeffy at checkout — this is how Zeffy stays free for nonprofits like CFSFAA, and it is completely optional. Whether you choose to add a tip or not, 100% of your membership or donation still goes to CFSFAA.

Is there a CFHS graduate or community member you've been meaning to nominate? Now's the time!

Since 1985, CFSFAA has honored more than 140 Cuyahoga Falls graduates and community members for career achievement, community impact, and service to our schools.

Do you know a CFHS graduate whose career, community involvement, or professional recognition make them stand out? Or someone, alumni or not, who has given generously of their time, talent, and treasure to Cuyahoga Falls City Schools or CFSFAA?

Distinguished Alumni Award — CFHS graduates (10+ years post-graduation; deceased individuals eligible) recognized for career accomplishments, community impact, or professional honors.

Distinguished Service Award — for significant contributions of time, talent, and treasure to our schools or CFSFAA.

Nominations due December 31. More information, including specific criteria, can be found on our website, cfsfaa.org/distinguished-alumni-awards.

Reminder to our alumni from the Class of 1966 (60th Reunion), Class of 1971 (55th Reunion), and Class of 1976 (50th Reunion): we are hosting a tour for your class reunions!

This Saturday, August 29th, at 10:00 AM, the Cuyahoga Falls Schools Foundation & Alumni Association invites you to visit the new 6-12 campus for a guided tour and a special video viewing of the former high school.
Park and enter the building at the main entrance on 13th Street. You'll be greeted by Foundation Trustees who will direct you to cafeteria seating in preparation for the tour.

We look forward to seeing our Black Tiger Alumni friends!

Also that morning: the PTA will be selling commemorative coins featuring Bolich Middle School, Roberts Middle School, and our former High School — $15.00 each. Please bring cash or your checkbook! If you have any questions about the coins, please reach out to the Cuyahoga Falls High School PTSO.

It's officially the start of a new school year, and that means our annual CFSFAA Staff Membership Contest is back! 🎉

Here we are on Convocation Day kicking things off (pictured: Kathy Taylor-Moffet, President; Karen Schofield, Vice-President; Mark Bowers, Executive Director). The building with the highest percentage of new and renewing members wins the coveted trophy, Baby Spike, a tray of sweet treats, and bragging rights for the year!

But the real win? 96% of membership dollars go directly toward scholarships for our graduating seniors and classroom grants for our staff.
