Hey everyone!

As many of you know, Camp Good News is just around the corner, and we are so excited to see how God is going to work in the lives of our campers this year!

We do have one important need, and we’re asking for your help. We are currently looking for a camp nurse to serve during the week of camp. The responsibilities include conducting head lice checks during camper check-in on Sunday, administering medications to campers throughout the week, and providing any necessary first aid.

We are looking for someone who is available to serve for the entire week, from Sunday, August 2, through Friday, August 7.

If you know someone who may be interested in serving in this role, please share this post with them and have them contact the CEF office at 330-928-1648.

Also, if you have children ages 8–12 who would like to attend Camp Good News, we’d love to have them! Please call the office for more information or to register.

Our office is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Hello and Happy New Year! We know this is a longer message, but we pray you will take a moment to read through it.

We serve with a ministry called Child Evangelism Fellowship of Greater Akron. Our mission is centered on three primary goals:
to evangelize children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ,
to disciple them through Biblical truth,
and to establish them in a local church for continued discipleship alongside their families.

We accomplish this through several ministries, with our largest being Good News Club—an after-school program held in public schools. Each week, children participate in games and activities, enjoy a snack, and most importantly, hear Bible lessons and memorize Scripture, with a clear Gospel message shared every time we meet.

We are currently seeking individuals who would be willing to serve on our committee. At present, we have seven committee members and are hoping to grow to ten, along with additional subcommittee members. The committee meets monthly to discuss day-to-day operations, staffing needs, and fundraising efforts. We are especially looking for individuals with experience in fundraising, ministry, social media or advertising—or simply those who have a heart for children and a desire to serve with a shared purpose.

In addition, we are beginning the search for a new Office Manager, as our current office manager is preparing for retirement.

If you are interested in serving on the committee or would like to be interviewed for the office manager position, please message us. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. If you know someone that you think would be interested in either position, please share this text with them.

Above all, we ask that you would pray for us as we seek to grow this ministry and reach as many children as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
